The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star recently had a life-changing procedure – and he’s thrilled about the results! Y&R viewers know Donny Boaz as Chance Chancellor in Genoa City, but fans may not know Boaz has worn glasses and contacts since he was a child. After dealing with vision issues for so long, Boaz finally made a big decision.
In an Instagram post, Boaz revealed that he had LASIK surgery to correct the problem. Thankfully, the procedure went well and now Boaz can see just fine! The Y&R star gave a shoutout to the center where he had the surgery and shared a bit more about his experience.
“Free #advertisement for #keywhitmaneyecenter,” Boaz said. “My #testimonial – I have been wearing glasses and contacts since I was 8 years old. I got #lasiksurgery done yesterday and now… #icanseeclearlynow I am so very thankful that I can see glasses and contact free now.”
Boaz also shared a sweet picture that was taken with his adorable niece, Makenzie. The Young and the Restless actor was excited to see Makenzie perform in her first recital following the surgery. Witnessing that with clear vision was certainly an amazing experience for Boaz.
“First thing I wanted to see, was my #beautiful #neice Makenzie, #dance in her very first #recital,” Boaz said. He added some hashtags like “#prouduncle” and “#proudunclemoment” as part of his surgery announcement. Boaz and his niece both had huge smiles on their faces, so it looks like Makenzie enjoyed having her uncle there to cheer her on.
Y&R fans are definitely glad to see that Boaz’s surgery went according to plan. Now Boaz will be good to go for filming new episodes. Since The Bold and the Beautiful’s cast and crew are back on set, The Young and the Restless’ return to production hopefully won’t be far behind. It’ll be interesting to see where Y&R takes Chance and Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) storyline next.
