The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) and Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales) share the same birth date, June 15. Y&R used its Y&R Insider Twitter feed to wish both cast members well during the production shutdown.
Davidson joined the show in 1984. She’s had various stints in this legacy character role through the decades. She’s currently on a recurring contract. Vilasuso joined the show in 2018. He’s a regular contract player.

Ashley’s a brilliant chemist, who founded My Beauty in Paris, France. She followed in the footsteps of her mother by leaving Genoa City, Wisconsin, to chart her own course, but has since returned and agreed to a business relationship with Jabot. Of course, Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) Alzheimer’s condition has become a central focus in Ashley’s life within the last year-plus.
Romance has abounded for Ashley through the years. Her most recent romantic interest was Ravi Shapur (Abhi Sinha) and her most recent husband was Tucker McCall (Stephen Nichols). Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who is her arguable greatest love, is the father of Ashley’s only child, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Rey Rosales Loves Sharon Newman
He’s not often been seen in the GC Police Department in recent months. That’s because Rey’s spent a good deal of his time helping the woman he’s fallen in love with.
Rey was smitten with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) when he first saw her at Crimson Lights two summers ago. Shey had to wait though because Rey was still married to Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez). That marriage fell apart, with Mia marrying Rey’s brother, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela), and also having his baby.
At the moment Rey and Sharon are solid. But this is daytime drama.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – A New Couple Forms?
Ashley is single. Rey is not. So, it stands to reason that Rey would either have to break up with Sharon, she would drop him, or they would mutually part. That seems unlikely considering Sharon’s current cancer fight.
But Sharon is also being aided by her one-time love, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who’s butted heads with Rey, over Case’s character, a number of times. Rey’s misconception of the former Shick growing too close could cause him to seek consolation elsewhere.
The aforementioned Crimson Lights is a location where many GC residents regularly cross paths. Having Rey and Ashley run into each other and begin sharing stories about the stress in their personal lives would be a believable starting point for this projected couple.
