The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that several exciting storylines will continue on new Y&R episodes starting Monday, August 10. However, there’ll also be some brand-new stories – including one for the Abbott family. It looks like The Young and the Restless will kick off this hot plot on Friday, August 14.
That’s when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will discuss the Abbott clan’s complicated history. It’s no secret that the Abbotts have faced their fair share of highs and lows.
There have been plenty of triumphs and defeats over the years – many of which were documented in Jack and Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) Abbott family history book.
This new story will involve something that may or may not be included in that book, but there’ll definitely be some unanswered questions. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack and Traci will tackle a mystery together. It sounds like Jack’s chat with Ashley will get him thinking and Traci will become his new partner on solving the case.
Ashley will remain part of the action, but it’ll be Traci and Jack who lead the search for clues. Y&R fans know time is running out for Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), and the Abbotts know that, too.
As they reflect on Dina’s younger days with John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), some intriguing hints will surface. It won’t be long until Jack and Traci are on the hunt for a significant memento.
This memento will serve as a reminder of the love John and Dina had for each other – back when they have their whole lives ahead of them. Since Dina is facing the end of a long and difficult Alzheimer’s battle, Jack and his sisters will want to do something special for her. Finding this memento will become their goal since it could bring Dina comfort before she dies.
Of course, Dina may be too far gone to fully appreciate it, but this is really about a journey for the Abbotts. Perhaps Jack, Traci and Ashley all need a way to let go. Their mission to give Dina this parting gift could give the Abbotts the closure they need.
