The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) could make waves at Chancellor Communications. Thanks to a fantastic pitch and a list of coveted influencers, it looks like Theo’s going to score himself a spot on the Chance Comm team.
Despite Billy’s initial distrust of Theo, he’ll see great potential in Theo as a new hire who can boost business.
However, we have to acknowledge that most of Y&R’s storylines revolve around love and complicated feelings. By putting Theo in the mix at Chancellor Communications, The Young and the Restless may be offering another obstacle on Billy and Lily’s path to romance.
Part of that may be due to Theo’s need to charm those around him.
Theo has admitted he’s a natural flirt, so that could be a problem in the weeks ahead. As Theo works to win Lily’s trust and impress her, it could easily lead to some fun banter between them.
Lily might not view it as a big deal, but what about Billy? Will Billy change his tune about Theo again and start to view him as a romantic rival?
Nothing romantic is going on between Lily and Billy just yet, but that’s just another reason to have Theo stir something up. Billy’s jealousy might be the first sign that he thinks of Lily as more than a friend and partner.
There’s no point in bringing Theo over to Chancellor Communications just so they can all get along! Although Theo may be an excellent fit in terms of the work he does there, how he meshes with Billy and Lily could be a different story.
Although it’d be inappropriate for Theo to hook up with Lily, no one can rule out some exploding passion here. That’s especially true since Summer Newman (Hunter King) will do some scheming, which could affect Theo’s romance with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).
If Summer sabotages things and makes Theo feel like all hope with Lola is lost, he might be willing to explore other options – like Lily, for example. Even if it were a one-night stand, it’d be enough to create some awkwardness and leave Billy fuming.
