The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, February 7, tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will battle concerns about her chemotherapy treatment. This is a necessary step if Sharon wants to beat breast cancer, but it’s still overwhelming. Sharon will combat her fears by keeping busy at first. She’ll try to think ahead and do some things around the house that she might be too weak to do later.
Sharon will prepare some meals in advance just in case she’s not up to cooking. She won’t know how her body will respond to the first round of chemo, so she’ll feel like it’s a good idea.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will sense that Sharon’s worried about losing her independence, but he won’t think she should fret. Chemotherapy has come a long way, so Rey will suggest that the side effects might be minimal.
Of course, telling Sharon not to worry is one thing. Convincing her not to worry is quite another! Besides, this is Sharon’s fight and she gets to decide how to handle it. Sometimes agonizing a bit is just what you have to do.
Once it’s time for bed, Y&R spoilers say Sharon will struggle to drift off. She’ll end up seeking out an online cancer group chat, so she’ll connect with people going through the same thing.
Sadly, Sharon won’t be able to shake her fears as she falls asleep. She’ll wrestle with terrible nightmares, but it looks like one dream will be pleasant. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) spirit will appear, so she’ll be able to catch up with her mom.
Sharon will assume it’s Mariah at first, but Cassie will confirm her identity and leave Sharon smiling over the visit.
After Cassie offers some guidance, Sharon will awaken and find Mariah downstairs with Rey. She’ll reflect on all the people who love her and are rooting for her to get through this. Sharon really does have a great support system backing her up.
Sharon will eventually head back to bed, but she’ll be joined by her daughters this time – all three of them. She’ll be sandwiched between Mariah and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) while Cassie sweetly watches over the fam nearby.
It’s nice that some tender family moments are being included in such a heartbreaking storyline. We all want to see Sharon conquer cancer and bounce back!
