The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, March 20, tease that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will get grilled. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have some questions for his ex, so Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will probably be the main topic. You can bet Nick will be on high alert about Adam and whatever he might be plotting, but Chelsea will probably insist nothing’s going on.
Of course, that’s not true since Adam’s determined to figure out exactly what went down in Kansas. Y&R fans can expect Adam to launch a full-blown investigation on Friday.
Adam will really dive in here and try to figure out why Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was in town when Alyssa Montalvo’s (Maria DiDomenico) father died. There’s a good chance Victor may have had something to do with AJ’s death.
In other words, Adam will attempt to turn his suspicions into something more concrete. He can tell Victor’s holding back, so it’s up to Adam to learn more news about this potential murder. Over with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), she’ll get a lecture from her mom. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will feel like Victoria is simply pushing herself too hard in her recovery.
In Thursday’s episode, Victoria gets busted after sneaking into the Newman Enterprises office. Nikki, Nick and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) catch Victoria working at her desk briefly, so it seems another conversation is in order.
Victoria needs repeated reassurance that it’s OK to take a breather right now and focus on herself. Health and peace of mind have to come before business in Victoria’s life.
Victoria is still recovering from her traumatic ordeal, so she’ll hopefully listen to Nikki’s wise words on Friday. Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will realize she’s got another apology to make.
Mariah recently ambushed Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) on stage and made a heartfelt plea for forgiveness. Although Mariah’s speech was moving, the whole thing ended in humiliation.
That probably goes for Tessa as well since she wasn’t warned about any of this. Mariah put Tessa on the spot thanks to Tanner Watts’ (Chase Coleman) not-so-great plan. Tessa may not be thrilled that Mariah let a crowd in Detroit become an interactive part of trying to solve their relationship issues.
However, Mariah is just so desperate to fix this somehow. She knows she screwed up massively and is spinning out trying to repair the damage. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah will make one last attempt before she heads back to Genoa City.
Mariah will surely apologize for the stage debacle, but she’ll still hope that maybe her grand gesture made a difference. Some Y&R fans are giving Tessa flak for not forgiving Mariah, but we have to pay attention to what’s happening onscreen.
Tessa couldn’t help but smile when Mariah said she loved her with every atom of her being. After Mariah concluded her speech, Tessa took a tentative step toward her initially. It was as if Tessa wanted to reach out and touch Mariah…to take her back…to let Mariah make this right…
Just because Tessa isn’t there yet doesn’t mean Mariah’s plan isn’t working. It’s just taking some time for torn Tessa to work through what she’s feeling. Tessa will reject Mariah once more, which will put the ball in Tessa’s court. When Tessa’s ready, she can be the one to seek out Mariah and start the healing process.
