It is the logical time to write Gloria back, as the birth of her second grandchild happens.

Chloe believed she was going into labor as the last episodes of Y&R were playing out in late April. That tease implied that the birth of her third child was imminent.
Fans know that Hendrickson and her husband welcomed their first child, daughter Josephine, in late March. So, that meant the actor was very close to her own delivery when she last worked on Y&R weeks earlier. The production shutdown took place in mid-March and is set to lift during the week of July 13.
Assuming a steady filming schedule happens, viewers could reasonably see the resolution to the Khloe baby storyline in mid to late August.

Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) is a good soul, who lost her confidant, Mrs. C, otherwise known as Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) in 2013. But she’s come to appreciate Gloria more deeply in recent years, especially because Gloria is a fellow grandmother to Khloe’s child and soon to be children.

Chapman is an outstanding actor who, as the apt cliche goes, steals scenes. The sheer force of her performance is delightful, as fans consistently see that she loves her profession and offers all of herself the audience.
Daytime involves drama, as it always has. But soaps also represent platforms that can be used for fun, escapist entertainment.
Who is more entertaining than Gloria? No one. So, here’s hoping that Y&R has already offered, or will offer Chapman at least a recurring, or even a regular contract.
