The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) brewing romance could hit a huge snag. Y&R fans know Devon has been growing closer to Amanda lately.
The confirmation that Amanda is Hilary Curtis Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) twin sister brought an instant bond to build on. Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) betrayal brought another reason for Devon and Amanda to connect.
Although Devon got the worst of it since he was in a deep, committed relationship, Amanda still felt the sting of what Elena and Nate did behind their backs. Devon has certainly appreciated having Amanda to lean on.
By the end of the week, Devon will console Amanda – presumably over a hurdle or dead end in her search for birth parent answers. Since The Young and the Restless is making the effort to pull Amanda and Devon together, we have to wonder how far it’ll go.
Will Devon and Amanda make love? It’s the next logical step for these two, but it could be a bit weird for Devon. Although Devon has been adamant that Amanda feels like a totally different person, will he still feel the same in the bedroom?
After all, that’s a place where physical aspects take over. Devon’s not going to be noticing Amanda’s personality if they’re stripped down and between the sheets!
It would be strange, poor writing if Y&R didn’t acknowledge the twin part of this at all. Won’t Devon feel like he’s betraying Hilary on some level?
Since Mishael Morgan is right there and available to play Hilary visions, maybe Devon could even be haunted in those moments. Forget all these flowery descriptions and stories about how wonderful Hilary was.
People tend to remember mostly the good stuff when soap characters die, but Hilary was NOT a woman to be messed with.
Devon’s kidding himself if he thinks Hilary would approve of him sleeping with her sister. Even in death, Hilary might take a stand against it. Morgan has appeared in Hilary visions before, but perhaps she could make a haunting comeback.
Some Hilary sightings in the bedroom might leave Devon too creeped out to go through with Amanda lovemaking.
It still feels like Devon and Elena are endgame, so will a Hilary haunting pump the brakes on his romance with Amanda? As other Y&R news comes in, we’ll pass along updates.
