The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has gone far too long without some love in his life. Every time there’s a hint of hope in Jack’s love life, it seems to evaporate just as fast. Unfortunately, Y&R’s latest option for Jack may not be what some fans had in mind.
Based on their renewed friendship scenes, Jack and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) seem all set to go beyond friendly territory down the road. Of course, Jill and Jack were romantically involved once upon a time, so they know each other quite well. Although it’s possible things will work out better this time around, there’s also a chance it’ll end in disaster.
Sometimes people break up because they’re supposed to break up. It’s not always a “one that got away” situation or something that needs to be revisited. Some characters really are better off as friends!
Jill and Jack may indeed work better as pals – and there’s always a chance The Young and the Restless writers will shift gears again. After all, it looked like Jack and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) were going to have an affair at one point, but that went nowhere.
Perhaps Y&R’s just testing the waters in case they want to do a Jack and Jill reunion. It doesn’t mean they’re locked into anything, so this is the perfect opportunity to consider another option for Jack. Should The Young and the Restless bring Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) back and give Jack a real shot at romance with her?
Y&R has teased this duo as a possibility, so they really need to let Celeste return and see where this love story might lead. The timing is even better now that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) have split.
Can you imagine how awkward it would be for Jack to get together with Kyle’s former mother-in-law? That’d be all kinds of uncomfortable for Kyle and Summer Newman (Hunter King) too for that matter. Summer is also quite close to Jack and would probably wonder why he couldn’t pick literally any other woman on the planet.
At the same time, Summer and Kyle probably wouldn’t want to deny Jack happiness if Celeste indeed made him happy. Who are Kyle and Summer to judge in light of their own complicated path back to each other? As for Celeste, she could be turn between hating Kyle’s guts for what he did to Lola and her undeniable spark with his father.
