The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there’s some exciting return news to pass along. Jason Canela recently posted an Instagram story outside the CBS studio, so he’ll be reprising his role as Arturo Rosales – and we can think of a great reason why!
Y&R fans will recall that Arturo came back to Genoa City last year when Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) tied the knot with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Since Arturo returned to GC for his sister’s wedding, it’s only fair that he returns for his brother’s wedding, too.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) have their own nuptials coming up, so it looks like Arturo will come back to town for a bit and be part of the wedding festivities. That should give Arturo a chance to catch up with Rey, Lola and anyone else in GC he might cross paths with.
Lola will certainly welcome the opportunity to visit with Arturo and see how things are going in his corner of the world. Arturo can offer updates on Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) and Mateo Rosales while he’s in town.
Of course, Lola’s own marriage to Kyle crashed and burned, but she’ll have higher hopes for Rey’s looming marriage to Sharon. Arturo should be thrilled for the happy couple as well, but will Rey and Sharon actually say “I do”?
Time will tell, but Sharon and Rey have definitely faced some Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) issues throughout their relationship. The Young and the Restless spoilers say there could be even more between now and when the “Shey” wedding begins.
Rey and Sharon are set to make things official on New Year’s Eve, but we’ll see if their plan comes together or falls apart.
As for Arturo, will he cross paths with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) while he’s around? Abby and Arturo had an awkward run-in during his last stint, so maybe they’re due for another.
Now that Abby feels like she’s found the love of her life in Chance Chancellor (temporarily played by Justin Gaston), she probably doesn’t mind all that much that Arturo cheated and blew their old romance up!
It’ll be fun to see Arturo in Genoa City again, so we’ll fill you in as other return details emerge.
