The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may not be as over Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) as he thinks he is. Although Kyle’s happy with Summer Newman (Hunter King), that doesn’t mean Kyle can just shut off his feelings for his ex. Lola and Kyle planned to spend the rest of their lives together when they said “I do,” so it has to be weird watching Lola move on.
Of course, Kyle can’t complain since he’s doing the same thing with Summer. He knew what he was getting himself into when he admitted Summer was still in his heart. However, hearts can be awfully fickle on soaps! Just look at what’s happening with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) right now.
Adam is engaged to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but familiar Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) seems poised to capture his heart again. To keep the drama going on soaps, people often waffle between a couple of major loves.
Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) done the same thing by going back and forth between Sharon and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) over the years.
Perhaps Kyle will be next in line to do some waffling. Could Kyle ultimately find himself wishing he’d stayed married to Lola? It’s a bit premature to say that just yet, but there are definitely signs of “Skyle” trouble on the horizon.
Kyle already seemed a little despondent over Lola and Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) growing connection. Naturally, Kyle tried his best not to show it! He assured Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that he was glad to see Lola moving on following their breakup.
However, it’s common for Y&R characters to say one thing and secretly feel something else. We can’t get inside Kyle’s head to know what he’s really thinking. At this point, Kyle may feel a tad selfish for wanting Summer but not truly wanting Lola to move on either – even if that’s not something he’s willing to divulge.
During the week of August 24-28, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Lola will face an electric moment. That doesn’t mean it’ll be romantic, but it does mean there’ll be some intense emotions going on – and intensity is sometimes the gateway to reconnection. It looks like a charged conversation could leave Kyle and Lola with a lot to mull over.
Is there still a chance for Lola and Kyle’s reunion? Time will tell, but it’s clear that there are some unresolved feelings to work through – one way or the other! We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R news and updates come in.
