The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a proposal could happen sooner than one couple anticipates. Y&R fans know Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) are back together, but they’re trying not to move too fast. Kyle isn’t even divorced from Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) yet, but he’ll take steps to rectify that in the near future.
In a recent episode, Summer made plans with Kyle, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Although Summer just wanted them get used to this new situation, Phyllis was initially worried about a big announcement. When Summer wasn’t sporting an engagement ring, Phyllis expressed relief.
Phyllis has been pretty supportive of “Skyle” giving things another shot, but she wants them to pace themselves. However, that’s already proven to be pretty tough for Kyle and Summer. For starters, they jumped in bed together the very night Kyle split from Lola. Though they hate the pain this caused, Kyle and Summer are quite happy in this long-awaited reunion.
In the Tuesday, March 24 episode, Kyle and Summer reflect on what would’ve been their one-year wedding anniversary. Between that acknowledgment and Phyllis’ engagement fears, could Y&R be setting up a quick proposal? Kyle’s fallen head over heels again – and he’s proven that he sometimes can get swept up in the romance of it all.
That’s what happened with Lola, but there’s a difference this time around. Kyle’s actually content and not fighting his feelings for someone else. Since Lola’s moving slowly with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson), that’s another reason for The Young and the Restless to do something different with Kyle and Summer. Why not have them move full-speed ahead?
Other Young and the Restless spoilers point to trouble on the job for Kyle, so he may focus on the happiness in his love life. Summer could become a safe haven as the rest of Kyle’s life falls apart. Kyle will run into some Jabot problems thanks to Theo and will get on Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) bad side over a situation with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Summer may be the only good thing he has left!
As the stress piles up and Summer remains supportive, it’s easy to imagine Kyle wanting to put a ring on it. That news could be pretty hurtful for Lola, but it might help move things along in her new romance with Theo. If a “Skyle” proposal happens, it might help Lola put Kyle behind her and focus on what’s next.
