The Young and the Restless spoilers has some news to pass on about a popular Y&R star. Lexie Stevenson, who portrayed Mattie Ashby on the CBS soap, has posted an urgent message on her Instagram feed related to her father’s battle against COVID-19.
Lexie’s father is fighting the virus and is on a ventilator at this time. Lexie posted three slides indicating that her family was in urgent need of plasma donations for her father. Lexie’s slides indicate that the family is looking for blood types O+ and O- and that the donors must have been tested positive for COVID-19 and be 14 days recovered.
On subsequent slides, Lexie and her family outline the steps required to be considered as a plasma donor for her father, Richard Stevenson. You can take a look at those slides on Lexie’s Instagram post below – the steps involve sending an initial email to the Red Cross and indicating that you are making a donation request. Lexie’s caption that accompanies the slides is heartbreaking. Lexie writes: “PLEASE READ: STEPS ON HOW TO DONATE INCLUDES ON SECOND AND 3RD SLIDE. My dad is in the ICU on a ventilator with COVID-19. Most people who get put on a ventilator don’t make it off and I have NEVER been this scared in my entire life.”
Lexie continues: “I am begging you to repost this and reach out if you are a match!! I’m 21 and not ready to say goodbye to my dad. We have way too much to do together. He is fighting for his life right now so prayers are encouraged and welcome. I am BEGGING you to repost this if you are reading. Please please please. It will not go unnoticed!!!”
Lexie is receiving an outpouring of comments from her followers, and we hope that everyone will pitch in and repost her post. One follower commented by saying: “I got you honey, and I’m praying for your dad and your family right now.”
Someone else replied: “I will be praying for your dad Lexi…I pray that he makes a full recovery…wish that I were able to donate…I’m B+…” And someone else commented simply by saying: “Absolutely will repost, darling girl.”
