The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) might be better off looking for a new guy. Y&R fans know Lola’s been dragging her feet when it comes to her romance with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). You could argue that Lola’s just scared after what happened with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but there may be more to it than that.
Lola brings out the best in Theo, but should she really have to? After the way Lola’s marriage ended, doesn’t Lola deserve someone who’s already as good as gold?
Theo’s a problematic screwup who needs babysitting to stay out of trouble. Perhaps Lola could use a real man – someone sweet and stable that she can relate to without worrying he’s going to run amok.
Lola connects with Theo because they grew up facing similar struggles, but there are other ways to bond. Like Lola, Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) has been burned in his love life.
Just when Noah thinks it’s going to work out, he gets his heart broken. As a result, Noah tends to keep his guard up. He would completely understand Lola’s need to protect herself.
Noah comes from a wealthy background like Kyle, but money’s never been a big thing for this down-to-earth Newman. He doesn’t like to use his family’s power or fortune to gain advantages.
That’s part of why Noah went off to London and made a name for himself as a photographer. Noah found his own path and followed his passion – just like Lola’s doing with her Miami restaurant.
It’s easy to imagine Noah and Lola hitting it off, especially if a couple of matchmakers help them out. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is Noah’s sister – the same sister who’s now in a relationship with Noah’s ex, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Everyone’s made peace with that situation, but Mariah and Tessa would certainly like to see Noah find happiness.
Lola also happens to be a close friend of Tessa and Mariah’s, so they’d probably be all for this pairing. Mariah and Tessa would surely think Noah’s a better match for Lola than Theo!
Noah was supposed to return home for Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) surgery, but that didn’t pan out for whatever reason. Could Noah come home afterward instead and stick around for a while?
If so, that’d give Noah the opportunity to get to know Lola and perhaps ask her out. Noah mentioned taking things slow with someone he met in London, but maybe she wasn’t “the one.”
Lola seems like she’d be the ideal love interest for Noah – and he’d be the perfect match for her, too. The Young and the Restless writers should think about pairing these two up.
