The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that we may see a vengeful side of Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) in the coming weeks. Y&R fans know Lola’s already been having some mood swings and outbursts lately.
Lola just hasn’t been herself since her marriage to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) fell apart – and Kyle’s instant happiness with Summer Newman (Hunter King) is a big reason why.
During a recent conversation with Kyle, Lola snapped about expecting to hear engagement news any day now. Kyle downplayed that idea, but Lola was right since she witnessed the lovebirds preparing to propose in the park. It’s clear that Lola’s hung up on Kyle in many ways, but Kyle’s perfectly content to move forward with Summer.
That has to sting for Lola, who couldn’t make things work with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Part of Lola’s issues may stem from trying to compete with Kyle and Summer. Once Lola saw that “Skyle’s” engagement was happening, she seemed to realize there was no point in trying to catch up.
Theo isn’t “the one” and Lola can’t turn him into another version of Kyle. Lola can, however, let her desire for revenge take over. Now that Lola’s dumped Theo, what’s going to keep her busy around town?
The Young and the Restless viewers will recall that Kyle and Summer’s divorce still hasn’t been finalized. Y&R mentions it pretty much every time Summer and Kyle are on together.
It looks like Lola will try to delay that divorce even further, but what exactly will her motive be? It’s obvious that Lola’s had enough, so revenge does seem like it’ll instigate this divorce holdup. Of course, that could shift to trying to get Kyle back – or even trying to reunite only to break Kyle’s heart again.
Lola might hope she can reel Kyle in just so she can dump him and make Summer turn against him, too. If Lola has to be miserable and alone, she may want the same for Kyle! Why should Kyle get to live happily ever after when he broke all his promises?
Now that Lola’s done with Theo, she can focus on this mission for vengeance and become a bit of a pot-stirrer.
