The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will face a medical emergency, so it looks like she’ll collapse at the penthouse again due to her brain aneurysm. It turns out the paramedic who arrives at the scene will be someone very special to Chelsea’s portrayer!
Back with Chelsea was kidnapped from the Chancellor mansion, a masked man hired by Adam carried out the task. That masked man was played by Egan’s real-life husband, Matt Katrosar. Now Katrosar will be playing the role of “Paramedic Egan” – and he’ll actually get to show his face this time around.
According to SOD, Katrosar will appear as a paramedic who rushes to Chelsea’s aid on December 31. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will be taken to the hospital ASAP in hopes of saving her life.
Things will definitely take a scary turn in Chelsea’s storyline, but it sounds like she’ll be in good hands.
Of course, there’s a good reason why Egan’s real-life husband is pitching in here. In the case of the kidnapping and this paramedic situation, Y&R needed someone who could be in close contact with Egan.
By hiring Egan’s spouse to play these parts, the show was able to get around the usual social distancing protocols and even allow for touching.
That’s obviously essential since Chelsea will need urgent medical attention. It’s kind of hard to pull off shooting a medical crisis if the paramedic can’t appear to be saving the victim. Fortunately, Katrosar was willing to step up in this paramedic role – and we have no doubt that he’ll do a great job.
As for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), he’ll be crushed over Chelsea’s condition taking a turn for the worse. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam has some major struggles in his future as Chelsea fights for her life. We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R news and updates come in.
