The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, March 16, teases that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) won’t be very receptive to Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) attempt to help – at least not at first. At the ranch, Sharon will mention Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) concerns, but Victoria won’t think she needs counseling.
Sharon will suggest she could just be there for Victoria as a friend. She’ll end up revealing her cancer diagnosis and admit she misses how her life used to be. Victoria will mention the boxing lessons she received from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), which helped with her anger issues. Sharon will also reflect on the difficulties of walking away from a relationship, but she’ll feel certain things will get better for Victoria.
At Sharon’s house, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will want to address some problems Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) been having at school. It turns out Faith has been bailing on classes and talking back to her teacher.
Faith will feel like Rey’s lecturing her, but she won’t be in trouble. Rey will acknowledge the stress Faith’s been under due to her mom’s condition. Nick and Rey certainly don’t want to add to it.
Y&R spoilers say Rey will take Faith to Society and hope Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) can have a chat with her. In the kitchen, Lola will listen to Faith’s troubles and offer some advice. Since Faith misses who she was at boarding school, Lola will provide encouragement and some ways to find herself again.
Faith will admit she hasn’t opened up to her mom about how she feels. She’ll worry that Sharon might try to make her go back to boarding school, but she’s just not ready for that. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lola will still think honesty is the best policy.
Back at the cottage, Sharon will fill Rey in on her conversation with Victoria. She’ll also get updates on Faith’s time with Lola and her daughter’s problems at school. Sharon will be upset over being left out of the loop, but they’ll eventually enjoy some fun banter. Since Sharon will be having one of her good days, she’ll want to head upstairs for lovemaking.
On Tanner Watts’ (Chase Coleman) jet, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will be outraged to see that he’s let Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) on. Tanner will feel like Tessa deserves an apology, and Mariah will confirm that’s why she’s there – if Tessa’s willing to listen.
Once Mariah sits down, she’ll talk about feeling like the biggest idiot for what she did to them. Mariah felt like she lost part of herself and that Tessa was moving on with somebody else. Tessa will lash out at Mariah for concocting an affair instead of just talking to her. She’ll insist Mariah’s the last person she imagined would break her heart.
Mariah will be adamant that they can work through this if Tessa will just forgive. Tessa will point out how fast things fell apart, but Mariah will suggest that wasn’t the case. She kept secrets about a series of life-shattering events, so Tessa will want the whole story if Mariah expects her to understand.
Mariah will confess that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) shut down Power Communications, so she’s been out of a job for weeks. As Mariah’s partner and client, Tessa will insist she should’ve been told. Mariah will suggest she’s been promoting Tessa on her own, but she hasn’t had much time for job hunting. When Tessa asks why not, Mariah will admit Sharon has breast cancer.
A stunned Tessa will hear about Sharon’s treatment plan and reel over being kept in the dark. Mariah will argue that she wanted Tessa to enjoy her tour. She didn’t want to pile all this on her, but Tessa will wonder if Mariah confided in Lindsay (Kirby Bliss Blanton).
Mariah will look down guiltily, but she’ll assure Tessa that she can be better. She won’t put anything or anyone above Tessa if she gets another chance.
Mariah will cry and beg, but Tessa will feel like this was over the second Mariah betrayed her. She’ll insist she’s done with Mariah. As Mariah sobs, she’ll suggest she doesn’t know how to say goodbye.
Mariah will call Tessa the love of her life; this was supposed to be forever. She’ll tell Tessa that she’ll always be in her heart and declare her love once more. They’ll both be in tears as Mariah exits.
Of course, this isn’t the end of “Teriah’s” story. Tessa will forgive Mariah down the road, but they have to give fans an angsty breakup for drama’s sake! For now, let’s get back to Kansas, where Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will run into a familiar face on his run.
Adam will tell Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) about bumping into Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomineco), his childhood pal.
Alyssa will meet Chelsea and talk about her work as a crime reporter. She’ll remember the chaos after Adam’s stepfather, Cliff, died. Alyssa’s father was in jail for a while before he also died, and now her mother’s gone, too.
Alyssa will also be introduced to Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) on Monday. Alyssa will see a resemblance between Connor and how she remembers Adam.
Once Adam’s alone with Chelsea, he’ll note that Alyssa’s dad was named AJ and he was a loan shark. Adam will recall Victor being in town at the time of AJ’s death. Chelsea will comment on how odd that is. The man Adam didn’t realize was his father showed up when Alyssa’s father died.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say a new mystery’s set to unravel, so stay tuned. As other Y&R news emerges, CDL will have more info to pass along. Stick with us for all the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, news and updates.
