The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, March 16 Review – Adam & Chelsea Discover Victor’s Suspicious Death Presence – Tessa Dumps Mariah

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Monday, March 16, tease that Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman) will talk on their private jet as it prepares for flight out of Genoa City. Tanner will say that there’s a delay, and in will walk a somber-looking Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Tessa will tell her to turn around and walk right back out the door, but Mariah will ignore the order and Tanner will quietly leave the two ladies to talk.

Mariah will say that she is horrified, and that what she did “wasn’t her,” but Tessa will say that it sure looked like her. Mariah will go on, saying that she really messed up, and that she thought that Tessa had fallen for someone else. Tessa will ask why Mariah hadn’t just talked with her about, it and Mariah will say that she did try. Tessa won’t buy it, and she’ll say that of all the people in the world, Mariah was the last person she thought would break her heart.

Mariah will say that she did something stupid and thoughtless, but that she knows they can work it out. Tessa will think it is telling that everything could fall apart so quickly for them. Mariah will say that there were things that happened that she had kept to herself. Tessa will prompt her for information, and Mariah will spill about losing her job at Power Communications and about Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cancer.

Tessa will note that Mariah could have told her these things and she’ll ask if Mariah told Lindsay (Kirby Bliss Blanton). She’ll then blast Mariah, saying that she had trusted Mariah with her life, her dreams, and her heart. At this point, both ladies will be crying, and Mariah will beg Tessa for another chance. But Tessa will say that she can’t say what Mariah wants her to say.

Tessa will curtly say that this was over the second Mariah betrayed her, and that she is done with Mariah, Genoa City, and this conversation. She’ll tell Mariah to leave, and Mariah will say that she doesn’t want to go, and that Tessa is the love of her life. Mariah will tearfully say that she loves Tessa before leaving, and Tessa will sob.

The positive news here is that ongoing Y&R spoilers indicate that Tessa will eventually come around, but it’s going to take some real work and repentance on Mariah’s part. It looks like Mariah will soon follow Tessa on her tour, showing her how much she still cares about her and wants their relationship to work.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Monday, March 16, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will be waiting for Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) when she wakes up. It will be teacher planning day, and they’ll have no school. Rey will confront Faith about her recent behavior at school, including skipping classes and being a smart mouth with the guidance counselor. He’ll say that he’s taking her to be “schooled.”

They’ll end up at Society, where Rey will tell Faith that she’s going to work in the kitchen, do dishes, and buss tables…so she can learn that people have to do things they don’t want to do. Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will materialize, and while Faith goes to get washed up, Rey will ask Lola to talk with Faith. Later, she will, and she’ll quickly learn that Faith is having trouble readjusting to live in Genoa City after boarding school.

But Faith will say that she didn’t want to tell her mom about her problems, because she’s afraid that Sharon will send her back to boarding school and she really needs to be home right now. Lola will listen patiently and tell her that she should be honest with herself and her mom, and that she’d get through this.

Finally, at the bed and breakfast in Kansas, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will return from a morning run, and he’ll tell Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) that he ran into an old childhood friend, Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) – they were best buds in kindergarten. Later, Alyssa will come by the bed and breakfast for a visit. She’ll explain that she’s a local crime reporter and talk will soon turn to stories from their childhood, which Chelsea will love hearing about.

They’ll talk a bit about the man who raised Adam who was killed by a drunk driver, as well as Alyssa’s father, AJ, who was a loan shark who went to prison for tax evasion for a while. But a few months after he was released from prison, he fell from a barn loft in a freak accident. Alyssa will note that her mother, who has since passed away, was reluctant to ever talk about her dad.

Later, once alone, Adam and Chelsea will talk about the story of Alyssa’s father, and Adam will remember that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was actually in town during Alyssa’s father’s funeral – he’d come by saying that he was an old friend of Adam’s mother’s. Chelsea will think that’s strange, and that it’s a big coincidence that the man who Adam didn’t know was his father showed up right when Alyssa’s father died.

Of course, this is all likely leading somewhere, and chances are the more that Adam thinks about it, the more he may wonder about the real connection between Alyssa’s father and Victor. He might even start to suspect that Victor could have had something to do with the man’s death. And given that Adam is looking for something to use against his father right now, he’ll probably investigate this further.
