The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that New Year’s Eve is coming up in Genoa City, which means it’ll be time for Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) to tie the knot. Sharon and Rey will manage to get everything done in time for the big event, so they’ll hope everything goes off without a hitch.
Of course, weddings always bring some surprises in GC – and this wedding will be no exception. The Young and the Restless spoilers say a surprise guest will show up at the nuptials. There’ll be a wedding crasher who arrives and undoubtedly catches the happy couple off guard.
Who will this mystery wedding crasher be and what kind of motives will he or she have? Let’s look at a few options. It’s possible the surprise guest will be someone like Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) since we know she’ll return to Y&R along with Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela).
If Arturo shows up and insists Celeste isn’t going to make it to the wedding, Celeste would be a surprise guest if she arrives late. However, Celeste has surely been invited, so it’d be a bit of a stretch to call her a wedding crasher.
Even so, we can’t rule it out. The show often puts out official Y&R spoilers that are misleading or exaggerations. They try to jazz things up to generate buzz for the show, so nobody would be surprised if this mystery wedding crasher is just a fashionably late Celeste.
On the other hand, it’s possible this wedding crasher will be one in a true sense of the word. Maybe someone will arrive without an invitation – and if so, that someone might be Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Adam should be back in town following his trip to see Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) by then. That could leave Adam tempted to wander over to the “Shey” ceremony and offer up a few words. You can bet Rey wouldn’t approve, and neither would his best man, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Sharon wouldn’t be on board either – at least not until she heard what Adam had to say. There was a time when Adam might’ve tried to stop Sharon’s nuptials, but the story has shifted lately. It’s just tough to imagine Adam declaring his love for Sharon and trying to change her mind so soon after his “Chadam” reunion.
Adam is on thin ice with Chelsea after all the stunts he’s pulled. He can’t afford another screwup right now – and he seems pretty determined to see Chelsea through her health crisis anyway. If Adam is the wedding crasher, it’ll probably just be so he can offer genuine well wishes on Sharon and Rey’s big day.
All signs point to Rey and Sharon actually getting married, so it doesn’t sound like this mystery wedding crasher will spoil things in the end. We’ll provide updates as other Y&R news comes in.
