The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) may soon find herself at a relationship crossroads. She’s just ended a very painful chapter with her violent ex, Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes), and it seems that she’s ready to move on with her life in every way.
And that means it will be time for her to start thinking about finding companionship and get out on the dating scene again. Of course, Y&R viewers know that Amanda sort-of started something recently with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), but that never seemed to get off the ground.
Timing appeared to be an issue for Amanda and Billy, as well as the terrible baggage of having Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) stabbing hanging over their heads. But still, Amanda and Billy did share a kiss, even though they appeared to go their separate ways afterwards.
But has Amanda really moved beyond Billy? We should find out soon enough, since Y&R spoilers say that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will soon formally express his interest in dating Amanda.
Nate and Amanda seem to get along well – they have an easy rapport, and they’ve started out as friends, which is a solid foundation. But it seems that Nate will want to romance Amanda, and Amanda will have a choice to make.
Since Y&R spoilers indicate that Amanda will soon take a risk, it looks like she might agree to see Nate and see where things go. But we have to wonder whether she’s fully over the feelings that she was starting to develop for Billy.
It seems that Amanda will need to make a decision soon about whether she’s going to move forward with Nate or not.
And there’s another wrinkle here that could factor into the mix. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Amanda recently shared a scene where they finally seemed to put their differences behind them.
As Y&R viewers will remember, Devon had a really hard time with Amanda after the whole kerfuffle over Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will. But Devon and Amanda seem to be beyond that now, which is great.
However, we couldn’t help but notice that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) noticed Devon and Amanda’s interaction, and she looked pretty worried about it. Of course, that’s natural, given that Amanda looks just like Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) and Devon can’t help but be reminded of Hilary when he looks at Amanda.
And that gets us wondering whether Amanda and Devon are really the “end game” here. Of course, at the present time, neither Amanda or Devon are pursuing each other or are even thinking about each other as a romantic possibility, but it seems reasonable to assume that TPTB might be planning for the two of them to get together down the line.
At any rate, this all puts Amanda in a weird position. She’s got Nate wanting to be with her romantically, but she probably has some residual feelings for Billy, and she might have a fleeting interest in Devon that she’s shutting down because of Elena.
It could make for some interesting drama down the line if Nate decides that he wants to get serious with Amanda.
We’ll see what happens here, but it looks like we’ll see a Nate-Amanda pairing in the short term. But who do you think that Amanda will end up with in the long-term?
