The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of August 10-14 tease that NEW episodes will finally start up again. Y&R fans are certainly looking forward to the return of fresh content, so let’s dive right in. Here’s what you can expect as we rejoin the action in Genoa City.
On Monday, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will plan some media coverage as GC prepares to celebrate Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) dedication.
They’ll need an interviewer for that, so it looks like Billy will pressure Lily to tackle the challenge herself. Lily will likely resist, which could lead to a compromise.
Billy and Lily will wind up sharing interview duties, so they’ll work it all out in the end. At Chancellor Park, Lily and Billy will talk to various Genoa City residents.
Their conversations will stir up some not-so-distant memories, so this will essentially serve as a recap episode. If you’re a little fuzzy on what was going on before the shutdown, Monday’s show will be a great memory refresher.
On Tuesday, Y&R will jump back into the usual drama. The Young and the Restless will air an episode that was filmed before the show suspended production.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will come home following her surgery and try to figure out what her new normal looks like. “Team Sharon” will be there to back Sharon up, but she’ll still break down in tears over this difficult next chapter.
Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will rile Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) up. Before Y&R aired their last pre-shutdown episode, Phyllis had an idea involving bones.
She may arrange a situation like the one Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) told her about, which would mean shutting down Abby’s new construction site due to fossils.
A possible archaeological dig could leave Abby’s hotel plans kaput! You can bet Abby will hit the roof over Phyllis’ latest curveball. Back with Lily and Billy, they’ll spar over a potential new employee at Chancellor Communications.
Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will likely deliver a strong pitch for why he should help them target younger demographics, but he’s definitely a risky hire.
Billy may think Theo’s too much of a liability, but Lily will probably like the knowledge and energy Theo can offer. Next, let’s talk about Wednesday episode – the first one filmed following the shutdown.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will suddenly pull back and leave Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) wondering if his chance at romance is over.
Over with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), she’ll meet up with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to talk about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Chelsea will probably relay her suspicions that Victor’s version of Kansas events is true.
Since Adam doesn’t buy Victor’s story yet, Chelsea will put her issues with Victor aside and focus on how they can help Adam together.
Next, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will be honest and undoubtedly cause some problems in the process. Summer will reveal how she really feels about Phyllis reuniting with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Phyllis may get her daughter to admit she basically has no faith in Nick and Phyllis’ future.
Thursday’s Y&R episode will bring some clashing between Victor and Jack. When Jack offers up some advice about Victor’s parenting style, Victor will be offended. These old foes will face off, but Jack may insist he’s speaking from experience and genuinely trying to help.
As for Adam, he’ll be busy carrying out a desperate search to prove he didn’t kill AJ Montalvo. Since Victor really did cause AJ’s death, this hunt’s a pointless one. Chelsea should realize that and could perhaps attempt to nudge Adam toward acceptance, but that could spark conflict instead.
Across town, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will get some support from Esther Valentine (Kate Linde) as he prepares for his new bundle of joy. Kevin will remain nervous, but Esther think he’s got this! Since Kevin’s proven he can be a great dad, Esther won’t think he has anything to worry about when his baby boy comes.
On Friday, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will share a moment of connection with Amanda. However, Devon and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will enjoy some close scenes of their own – far closer than anyone else since Sarpy and James are a real-life couple.
Y&R will take full advantage of that, so expect lots of kissing and touching for Devon and Elena.
Over with Jack and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), they’ll do some reflecting. As Ashley and Jack think back on the highs and lows of Abbott family history, it could lead to some talk about John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) early relationship with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams).
As Dina continues to fade, this will set up a hunt for an old memento that could give her some happiness in her last weeks.
Finally, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will put some effort into creating Newman family peace. Sadly, Nikki’s hard work won’t pay off. There’s really no containing the rage and bitterness within the Newman clan. Nikki’s attempt to bring everyone together will backfire, so stay tuned to watch her plan crash and burn.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some exciting stuff’s coming up during the show’s first week back. We’ll provide updates as other news rolls in. Y&R fans will want to check out these new episodes during the week of August 10-14!
