The Young and the Restless Spoilers Preview: Victoria Press Conference Shocker – Blows Up Newman Family, Adam & Victor Fight Back

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will set some major waves in motion within the Newman family during the week of August 17-21.

As Y&R viewers are aware, Victoria is finally back in the CEO spot at Newman Enterprises, and she’s not content to simply get her position back – she wants to come back in a very public way and make her mark on the company and in Genoa City, it seems.

The new Y&R preview video shows Victoria looking large and in charge as she tells Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) defiantly that “I am running Newman Enterprises now, and this is the decision that I’ve made.”

Nikki fires back that “You cannot go out there and blow everything up!” But that’s not going to stop Victoria, who will promptly hold a press conference and announce some major changes at Newman Enterprises…all at her direction.

During the press conference, Victoria will announce that leadership is about accountability, and as Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) watch the conference unfold on TV, Adam will dryly note that Victor’s message is received, and that Victoria is calling the shots now. “We’ll see about that, son,” Victor notes.

So, what are these big changes that Victoria will be instituting at Newman Enterprises? Well, according to Y&R spoilers, it will have something to do with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and perhaps even Jabot, since Victoria will summon Jack for a meeting that very much intrigues him.

Victoria will lay out her plan, and Jack will be totally on board.

We should note here that Jack and Victor haven’t been on the best terms lately, so this could signal that Victoria’s big announcement could be something that Victor might not be happy with, or it at least might not be in the direction in which Victor would normally choose to take his company.

But this is a big power move on Victoria’s part, signaling that she’s at the helm, not Victor.

So, what is Victoria’s big announcement going to be? One might think it would have something to do with putting Adam in his place or even outing his killing of AJ Montalvo when he was a boy.

But given that Jack is involved, it’s doubtful that he’d stand by and support Victoria in a quest to ruin Adam’s reputation. We’re probably looking at some sort of Newman/Jabot alliance, which is something that Victoria could be doing to up her own game in Genoa City.

We’ll see what happens here, but it looks like Adam’s going quickly get the message that he’s a has-been where Newman Enterprises is concerned.

It will be interesting to see how Victor handles the big changes that Victoria will be leading at Newman, especially if they end up negatively impacting Adam. One thing’s for sure – the Newmans will find themselves in more turmoil!
