The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Friday, November 20, tease that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will trade apologies at the Chancellor mansion before launching into yet another argument about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Chloe will insist that their friendship will be over if Chelsea reconciles with Adam again.
Chelsea will share that with or without Adam, she’s leaving Genoa City, and Chelsea will say that for the meantime, she’s going to the Grand Phoenix.
Chelsea will say that she’ll make the best decision for herself and her family, and if the price she pays is her friendship with Chloe, then so be it. Chloe will be upset, but she’ll accept the situation as Chelsea leaves.
At Adam’s penthouse, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will tell Adam that he’s insisting that Adam get intensive therapy – not at Fairview, but somewhere else.
Victor will whip out commitment papers, and Adam will be incredulous that Victor’s having him committed and that Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) name is on the paper.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon will tell Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) about the commitment order, saying that Adam’s a danger to himself and others, and that Victor filled her in on Adam’s plan for Newman Tower.
Sharon will get an alert on her phone saying that the order is official, and she’ll rush over to Adam’s place to be there when it all goes down.
Back at Adam’s penthouse, Adam will fume, and he’ll try to leave but he’ll find armed guards at the door. Sharon will show up, and Victor will step out to give Adam and Sharon some time alone.
Sharon will gripe that when Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) confronted him, he was planning at that moment to attack his family.
Outside the penthouse, Rey will show up to find Victor and a guard in the hallway. Victor will shoo Rey away, while inside the penthouse, Adam will get more agitated. Sharon will say that it’s a comfortable facility, and Adam will beg Sharon to save him.
Victor will come in and say that it’s time, and Adam will make a run for it, but the guards will subdue him in the hallway. Sharon will break down in tears.
Later, Chelsea will arrive at the penthouse to find no one there. Chelsea will call out for Adam, then she’ll text him to say that she’s home and ready to talk things out some more.
At Elena Dawson (Brytni Spray) and Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) apartment, Elena will have confusing dreams about Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) taking her back and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) showing up and ruining things.
Later, Elena will share her dreams with Lola, who will think that there seems to be more between Elena and Nate than a one-night thing.
Elena will leave to get some tea, and Lola will text Nate. Soon, Rey will show up to vent about what’s going on with Adam and Sharon. Rey will worry that Sharon has just taken a turn into enemy territory where Adam is concerned.
At Society, Devon will find Nate at the bar and tension will ensue. Devon will ask about Nate’s hand, showing absolutely no remorse for the fact that Nate might not be able to operate again.
Nate and Devon will agree that apologies won’t change what happened, but Nate will point out that at least he didn’t attack Devon. Devon will disagree and walk out.
At Crimson Lights, Elena will be drinking tea when Nate walks in. Elena will realize pretty quickly that Lola texted him telling him where to find her. Elena will say that she’s been thinking, and that she doesn’t want to give him the wrong impression, but she feels that she needs to find out.
Nate will ask what Elena’s saying, and Elena will say that if he were to ask her out, she wouldn’t say no.
Elsewhere in the coffeehouse, Sharon and Rey will regroup. Sharon will tell Rey about the awful scene at Adam’s penthouse and how Adam accused her of terrible things.
And over at the mental health facility, Adam will wake up in hospital garb on a bed. Adam will try to get out of his room, but the door will be locked. Adam will rattle the door in frustration.
