The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Monday, December 14, tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will argue in the lobby of the Grand Phoenix over his decision to fire her as his lawyer.
Upstairs, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will talk through the door to the mystery witness until she gets the witness to open the door, but viewers won’t see who the witness is.
A few minutes later, Lily will return to the lobby and tell Billy that the witness is Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico). Meanwhile, Alyssa will call Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), who’s at Crimson Lights talking with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) about wedding plans.
Rey will rush off, and Sharon will tell Lola that Rey hates everything about this case.
Back at the Grand Phoenix, Billy and Lily will wonder how and why Alyssa was back in town to see Billy at the scene of the crime. Billy will decide to race upstairs and confront Alyssa, which Lily won’t like, but she’ll head on upstairs with him.
While this is going on, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will walk into the lobby and spy Lily going upstairs with Billy. Devon will ask Amanda what’s going on, but Amanda won’t know.
Devon will gather from what Amanda tells him that Billy disagreed with her about case strategy. Devon will think that it’s Billy’s loss and that Amanda’s a great lawyer. Before Devon leaves, he’ll ask Amanda to have dinner with him sometime.
Upstairs, Billy will knock on Alyssa’s door and yell at her to open up. Rey will approach saying that Billy violated his bail and that he has no choice but to take him in.
Billy will bluster that Alyssa knows who framed him, and he’ll say that Rey knows he didn’t do this, but Rey will take Billy down through the lobby, where Amanda will approach Billy saying that he needs representation. “Don’t push me away again – I know how to help you,” Amanda will urge Billy.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon and Lola will be talking honeymoon plans, when Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) walk in for some coffee.
After Elena takes off with Lola, Nate will get a call from his doctor about his hand, then he’ll go over to Elena and Lola’s apartment, where he’ll share with Elena that the doctor thinks he can benefit from a second surgery and this may repair the damage from his injury.
At Society, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will talk with Summer Newman (Hunter King), who will do her best to persuade him to take the Abbotts’ Paris offer.
Summer will say that the boutiques in Paris are very profitable, but Theo will balk. Summer will accuse Theo of plain old greed, then she’ll walk off and Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) will enter.
Theo will ask Brittany about his chances if he takes the lawsuit to court, and Brittany will say that it’s a long shot and he could walk away with nothing.
Theo will then text Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who will be over at Jabot with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Jack will walk out of the boardroom as Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) comes in and pitches an idea for Fenmore’s to Kyle.
Sally will ask for some tips from Kyle, then she’ll go way overboard in complimenting him for the advice, which Kyle will see right through.
Back at Society, Theo will approach Summer at the bar saying that he’d like to repay her the favor for her advice earlier. Theo will tell Summer to watch out for Sally and not to underestimate her, because she’ll use Kyle to throw Summer off her game.
This will stun Summer, and Theo will take off for Jabot, where he’ll tell Kyle and Jack that he’s dropping the lawsuit and will take the Paris offer.
Kyle will say that the deadline expired 45 minutes ago, but Jack will want a moment alone with Theo. Jack will tell Theo that he’s giving him the boutiques in Paris despite everything that he’s pulled since he set foot in Genoa City.
Jack will suggest that in time, Theo might reach out to the family when they visit Paris, and he’ll urge Theo not to blow this business opportunity. Theo will thank Jack and say that part of him is actually looking forward to this.
