The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Monday, November 16, tease that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will talk happily about their wedding at the hospital, then Chance will send Abby off to get some rest.
Soon, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will arrive to see Chance, to thank him for saving his life.
Chance will be cordial with Adam, but it will be clear that he’s done with the friendship, and he’ll tell Adam so in no uncertain terms. Chance will insist that his actions were about training and instinct, not friendship. Adam will take off, actually looking fairly hurt by Chance’s words.
Later, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will amble into Chance’s room, having been summoned by Chance. Victor will thank Chance for saving Adam, and talk will quickly turn to Abby.
Chance will ask for Victor’s blessing on his pending nuptials to Abby. Victor will say that Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) would be thrilled, and that Chance has his blessing.
Over at Crimson Lights, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will drop by to see Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Sharon will reveal that she went to see Adam, which won’t thrill Rey.
Rey will then reveal that Adam abducted Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), which will startle Sharon. Sharon will insist that Adam isn’t a threat to her and Rey’s relationship.
At Chancellor Communications, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will meet over some business matters.
Billy will recap how Adam is responsible for Chance getting shot, and Amanda and Lily will insist that they aren’t going to run a piece on the story until an arrest has been made.
Later, Amanda will quiz Lily on what’s making her so happy lately. Lily will say that it’s the job, but Amanda will wonder if it’s because of Billy. Lily will evade the question, and Amanda will call her on it. Lily will quickly exit, humoring Amanda.
At the Chancellor mansion, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will be incredulous when Chelsea tells her about Adam being there earlier and apologizing.
Chloe will think that Chelsea wants to get back together with Adam. Later, Rey will drop by to talk with Chelsea about Adam, and he’ll get out of her that Adam thinks that Billy was behind the shooting.
Rey will head over to the crime scene, where he’ll look around. Rey will then look up and notice something very interesting. Meanwhile, over at Society, Billy will encounter Adam, saying that he literally dodged another bullet.
Adam will indicate that whoever’s responsible for the shooting will have a steep price to pay. “Unless they try it again and succeed,” Billy will say.
As Adam is walking out of Society, he’ll bump into Chelsea, who will notice that he looks upset. Adam will say that Billy basically just admitted to shooting him. Chelsea will urge Adam not to retaliate.
Adam will reply that he only wants Chelsea’s forgiveness, and he’ll suggest that they go visit Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Chelsea will refuse.
Chelsea and Billy will talk at the bar as she’s picking up food, and Chelsea will ask Billy if he was the one who tried to kill Adam.
Billy will needle Chelsea for continuing to be Adam’s apologist, and he’ll say that Chelsea should be upset that whoever pulled the trigger missed. Just then, Rey will walk up and ask to speak with Billy.
Chelsea will take off, and Rey will say that he noted that Billy’s building was very close to the shooting site. Billy will ask if Rey is questioning him, and Rey will say that Billy’s name is on the top of everyone’s list of people with a motive to shoot Adam. Billy will insist that he did not pull the trigger.
At the Abbott mansion, Abby will arrive to find Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) waiting there for her. Abby will share that she and Chance got engaged, and Ashley will be thrilled for her daughter.
Ashley and Abby will sit and talk about wedding plans, and Ashley will get out Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) memory box and suggest that they incorporate some of the things that Dina kept into the wedding.
Back at Crimson Lights, Lily will arrive to talk with Sharon. Lily will want to apologize for the exposé and to take responsibility for the story not being sensitive to Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind).
Sharon will note that the shocking thing is that Adam actually did all the things described in the exposé, and that she’s done trying to fix him.
At Adam’s penthouse, Adam will call out for Young Adam (Dane West). “Hey kid, where are you?” Adam yelled. When Young Adam doesn’t materialize, Adam will say, “Guess it’s just me now.”
Back at the Chancellor mansion, Chelsea will return to find design sketches set up around the room by Chloe. Chloe will suggest a new name for their company, which is a merge of their kids’ names.
Chelsea will reveal that she ran into Adam while she was out, and Chloe will realize that Chelsea still loves Adam and is thinking of going back to him.
Back at Chancellor Communications, Billy will return as Amanda and Lily are bantering about Lily’s feelings for him. Billy will walk in somberly and sit down, saying that he thinks he may need a lawyer.
