The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Monday, September 7, tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) will chat at Sharon’s place. Noah will ask Sharon about her upcoming test results, and she’ll say that waiting for them is hard.
Noah will also ask whether Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has reached out to Sharon since yesterday. Sharon will say no, then she’ll get a text from Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) asking if she’s heard from Adam.
At Adam and Chelsea’s penthouse, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will show up looking for Adam. Chance will reveal that Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) has been digging into Adam and Chance’s Las Vegas activities.
That will worry Chelsea, but her main priority will be finding Adam. Chance will think that Chelsea’s holding something back, and Chelsea will say that Adam’s dealing with something, and Chance will agree to find Adam discreetly.
Back at Sharon’s place, she’ll get a call from Adam, but she’ll pretend that she’s talking to someone at Crimson Lights for Noah’s sake. Adam will say that he needs someone to talk to, and Sharon will say she’ll be there soon. Sharon will tell Noah that she’s headed to Crimson Lights.
Sharon will arrive at Adam’s motel, and Adam will basically reject any of Sharon’s attempts to help. Adam will insist that he can’t go back to Chelsea and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), and that he feels like he’s being swallowed up.
Sharon will think Adam has given up, but Adam will insist that he hasn’t. Yet, Adam will very much sound like he’s given up as he laments to Sharon about not wanting to hurt Chelsea and Connor.
Adam will talk about all the people he’s hurt, and he’ll insist that he can’t go back to his old life because he’ll only end up hurting Chelsea and Connor in the long run. Sharon will think that Adam needs some sleep, and she’ll get him to lay down. Later, Adam will wake up with a start, and Sharon will be gone.
Later, Sharon will be at Crimson Lights when she gets a call from the doctor’s office. Sharon will learn that she needs to come in to get the results of her latest cancer pathology report, and that will unnerve her. Sharon will ask for an appointment as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be hard at work at Newman Enterprises. Nikki will have placed an invitation to the Grand Phoenix Escape Club among Victoria’s papers, and Victoria will balk.
Nikki will caution Victoria against burnout, and she’ll encourage her daughter to go check out what the Escape Club can offer.
At Society, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will talk with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) via phone. Theo will be at Chancellor Communications, and he’ll say that both his bosses are AWOL, so he could come by for a meal and work from Society.
Out in the lounge area, Noah will bump into Summer Newman (Hunter King), and they’ll discuss their various family situations and relationship shakeups around Genoa City.
Meanwhile, Lola will send Theo a text saying that she’s working on a surprise for him for when he arrives. But over at Chancellor Communications, Theo will be beckoned into a meeting by Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who has just shown up unexpectedly.
Billy and Theo will have a business meeting that goes spectacularly, and Theo will assure Billy that he has nowhere else to be. At Society, Lola will be making empanadas for Theo, and she’ll wonder where Theo is.
As Billy and Theo talk sports and get along great at Chancellor Communications, Lola will be in the kitchen at Society frustrated. Lola will throw the empanadas in the trash, then walk out to the bar, where she’ll encounter Noah.
Lola won’t be in the mood for talking, and Noah will try to be friendly, but he’ll get the big brushoff. Noah will walk back over to Summer and complain that Lola was barely polite.
Later, Theo will show up at Society and find Lola at the bar. Theo will explain about his great meeting with Billy, and Lola will grump that Theo could have texted that he’d be late or that plans had changed. Theo will say that he didn’t realize that they had solid plans, and Lola will walk off.
Finally, back at Newman Enterprises, Victoria will call Billy and ask him to take the kids for the night. Billy will be happy to do so, and he’ll ask if Victoria will be working late. Victoria will say that she’s not sure yet as she looks at the Escape Club envelope.
