The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 29, tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will visit with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) at the Chancellor mansion. Rey will get Chance up to speed on the case against Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico).
Rey will note that he feels sorry for Alyssa, as she’s not the first person that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has pushed to the breaking point.
Over at Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will be chatting with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) when Faith’s friend Jordan (Madison Thompson) comes in and gives Faith the cold shoulder.
Faith will apologize to Jordan for not stealing the vodka from Society, but Jordan won’t really accept the apology.
When Mariah tries to be sociable and mentions partying with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Jordan will explain that being a teen today is way different than when Mariah was young.
Jordan will then leave saying that she’s going to study, and Faith will blast Mariah for bringing up partying. Mariah will remark that Faith surely doesn’t care what Jordan thinks.
At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will arrive to tell Sharon what a great guy she has in Rey and how the wedding tomorrow will be spectacular. Nick will say that he’ll always be in Sharon’s corner, and he’ll mention how brave Sharon has been this year.
Sharon and Nick will also talk about Faith, and Sharon will say that Faith wants to stay in Genoa City rather than going back to boarding school in January.
Sharon and Nick will like that, since it means they can keep an eye on Faith, especially since her grandmother is an alcoholic. Soon, Faith will walk in, followed shortly by Rey.
Rey and Sharon will head out for a walk, and Faith will sneak into the living room and fill up a portable drink cup with vodka from the bar. Faith will then text Jordan saying, “Hope I see you tomorrow – I’ve got a surprise for you.”
Faith will go back to her room, and Rey and Sharon will come back, all happy about their wedding tomorrow.
At Jabot, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will chat with Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) about her holidays. Sally will note that it feels nice to have a feeling of belonging, and that her parents were nomads who dropped Coco Spectra (Courtney Grosbeck) and herself off at her grandmother’s place when they were kids. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will overhear this and find it interesting.
After Jack, Sally, and Lauren meet, Lauren will ask Sally to reach out to Summer Newman (Hunter King) about something. Sally will admit that there’s some friction between her and Summer, caused by a third party who started a rumor.
Eventually it will come out that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) started the rumor. Jack will say that he’ll speak to Summer on behalf of Sally.
At the Grand Phoenix, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson) will enjoy drinks together, and after some small talk, Nate will suggest that they get a room and order room service. Elena will be surprised, but she’ll agree, and they’ll enjoy a quiet dinner in a suite.
After dinner, things will get awkward, and Elena will thank Nate for being patient with her. Elena will explain that she’s not ready yet, and that she still feels guilty about hurting Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Nate will think that Elena should stop punishing herself, and Elena will worry that maybe their relationship will never be what he wants it to be.
Later, Nate will text Elena asking her to let him know that she got home ok. Elena will text back saying that she’s fine and that she’s sorry about tonight, but that they should talk soon.
Meanwhile, over at Chancellor Communications, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will welcome Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) home from her visit with her kids in New York. Soon, Billy and Lily will head to Society for dinner.
At Society, Billy will have a new business idea – he’ll want to do a piece on the good people that fought for justice, including Lily. Lily will say that they should focus on the real heroes, like Chance.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will be nearby and she’ll like that idea, even offering to share some pictures of Chance for the article.
Lily and Abby will chat for a bit about Abby’s intention to have a baby soon, and then Chance will show up and learn about the possible new story on him. Chance will balk a bit, but Billy will offer to let him share the limelight with the other heroes, including Lily and Rey. Chance will warm up to the idea a bit more.
Back at the Chancellor mansion, Abby and Chance will regroup and talk about their desire to have a family soon. Abby will serve hot chocolate with whipped cream, since high-fat foods are supposed to help aid conception.
And back at the Grand Phoenix, Lily will ask Billy if he wants more kids. As it turns out, neither of them will, and Billy and Lily will head upstairs together happily.
