The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 8, tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will meet with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at the Grand Phoenix, and he’ll want some intel from Sally about the Abbotts’ plan of attack in his lawsuit contesting Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) will.
All Sally will provide is that the Abbotts have no intention of budging, and in return Theo will share that Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) big weakness is her jealousy when it comes to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Sally will think that she can possibly use that to her advantage to throw Summer off her game.
Meanwhile, over at the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will call Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), and Kyle together to consider making a settlement offer to Theo. After a show of hands, Jack will be the only one wanting to make an offer.
Later, the family’s lawyer. Richard Emberson (Stephen Jared) will arrive, followed shortly by Theo and Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) to discuss the case.
Richard will offer Theo a boutique company of Dina’s in Paris as a settlement, and Theo will say that it’s a start and Brittany will lay out some reasons why Theo has a legitimate claim on Dina’s estate.
Kyle will be furious, and he’ll blurt out some insults and declare this whole process to be a farce. The lawyers will agree that they’ll have to decide this in court, and then Jack will ask to speak to Theo alone.
Jack will blast Theo, asking him what he’s trying to prove, and he’ll list all the things he did to try to help Theo these past few months. Theo will fire back that Jack blamed and shunned him.
Theo will then really irk Jack when he brings up what Dina would think if she was still here. Jack will fume at Theo for wanting to swoop in to take something that Dina spent a lifetime building.
Jack will bark that the settlement offer is off the table tomorrow at 4pm, and he’ll threaten Theo with a team of lawyers. “Take us on, I dare you – We will eviscerate your claim!” Jack will bellow.
Theo will tell Jack not to count him out just yet. Jack will say that Theo cannot win this fight, and that he should think about his next move long and hard. “You’ll remember this as the moment you lost everything!” Jack will yell.
At Crimson Lights, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) and Summer will meet about Jabot Collective (JCV) business, and Summer will note that she’s back with Kyle and everything is falling into place.
Sally will walk in late, but she’ll butter up Lauren by explaining all the things she was doing this morning to make Lauren’s life easier.
When Lauren steps away, Sally will offer to help Summer with her ideas for JCV, but Summer will say that she wants to keep them to herself for now. Sally will come on strong, and she’ll say that Summer has no idea how busy she’ll be running JCV.
Then Sally will say that she’s a great liaison between Lauren and Jack, and between Lauren and Kyle. That will worry Summer.
At Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) penthouse, Adam will notice a call coming in on Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) phone. Turns out, it will be the doctor calling with Chelsea’s test results.
Chelsea will appear, and Adam will hang up and then tell Chelsea that he knows she lied to him earlier and that she has a cerebral aneurysm that could have been caused by the fall in the elevator.
Adam will explain that Chelsea’s fainting spell earlier was actually a seizure, and that she’s been referred to a specialist. Chelsea will downplay the whole thing and she’ll still want to leave Genoa City tonight, but Adam will put the kibosh on that, saying that Chelsea needs to get healthy first.
Chelsea will then get a text from Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), and she’ll head on over to the Chancellor Mansion.
At Newman Enterprises, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will come to see Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to tell her how proud he is of her leadership at the company.
Victor will tell Victoria that Adam will never be able to diminish her power, and that he just wants Adam to get help. Victoria will express skepticism that Adam will actually leave Genoa City, and Victor will urge Victoria to be more compassionate and understanding.
At Society, Victoria will see Adam walk in, and she’ll wonder if Adam’s getting food before hitting the road. Adam will say that there’s been a change of plans, but he won’t tell Victoria about Chelsea’s aneurysm.
Victoria will take the opportunity to blast Adam and tell him that he’s toxic to everyone, including Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
At the Chancellor Mansion, Chloe and Chelsea will spend time with baby Miles Fisher, then Chelsea will tell Chloe about her aneurysm. Chloe will offer to take Chelsea to her appointment, but Chelsea will say that Adam will take her.
Chloe will think that Chelsea should let Adam leave town without her, but Chelsea will urge Chloe not to start in on Adam. Chloe will urge Chelsea to let her help.
Chelsea will then head back to the penthouse, where Adam will have food from Society waiting. Chelsea will thank Adam, and she’ll say that they’ll get through this health scare and move on. “Everything will be ok,” Chelsea will say.
