The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 26, tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will meet at Society ahead of their “no pressure” date. Lola will wonder what’s in store for the evening, and Theo will promise her something near and dear to her heart.
Meanwhile, at Crimson Lights, Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be meeting and discussing business. Kyle will be all business, and Summer will be distracted with her phone.
Suddenly, Summer will announce that she has plans, and Kyle will wish her well. Summer will then announce that the plans involve Kyle, and they’ll leave together with Kyle intrigued.
Later, Lola and Theo will arrive on the patio fresh back from their date. Turns out, Theo will have taken Lola to a food truck festival and they were in food heaven.
Theo will promise a trip to Manhattan next, but Lola will say that she liked the vibe of this date. Lola will wonder what’s next, and she’ll say that she’d invite Theo to her apartment, but that it would be awkward since she lived there with Kyle.
Lola will suggest that they go to Theo’s place, but he’ll balk, and after a little questioning, Lola will realize that it’s because Theo’s hotel room is a mess. Lola will tell Theo that she grew up with two brothers and that she can handle a messy room. Ultimately. Theo will agree.
At Chancellor Park, Summer and Kyle will arrive to find a picnic set up for them, all arranged by Summer in advance. Summer and Kyle will enjoy their time together as they look at the clouds and Kyle tells Summer about his recent talk with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Summer will then spring the real reason she’s brought Kyle here – she’ll want them to move in together. Kyle will be pleasantly surprised, but he won’t answer right away, and Summer will wonder whether he has reservations. Kyle will say yes to living together, and Summer will be thrilled.
At the Grand Phoenix, Lola will wait impatiently outside Theo’s suite while he frantically picks up clothes and other stuff strewn around the room. Finally, Theo will let Lola in the room, and he’ll suggest that they watch TV and act all nervously. Lola will sit Theo down for a talk, and she’ll wonder why he’s so nervous.
Theo will admit that he wants to be sure that Lola is sure about taking the next step in their relationship, and Lola will assure him that she’s here because she wants to be here – not because this is a rebound situation or she’s trying to prove she’s over Kyle.
Theo will be satisfied, and Lola will shut the door, with the “do not disturb” sign hanging on the knob.
Meanwhile, Kyle and Summer will return to Kyle’s suite, all happy because they are now officially living together, and they’ll make love.
Over at Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, Sharon and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will be getting ready for breakfast when Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) drops in to say that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) didn’t come home last night.
Chelsea will be worried, and she’ll think that Adam went back to Las Vegas. Sharon will be surprisingly quiet during all of this, and afterwards, Sharon will tell Rey that Adam’s going to Kansas, and that she’s going to go find and help him.
Sharon will call Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) asking for his private jet to trek to Kansas.
Afterwards, Sharon will explain to Rey that Adam’s childhood trauma happened in Kansas, and Rey will question why Sharon didn’t tell Chelsea about Kansas.
Sharon will argue that Adam needs professional help, and Rey will insist on going with her and he’ll say that Sharon needs her doctor’s approval to go. Sharon will get her doctor’s permission, and she and Rey will get packed.
At the Newman ranch, Chelsea will rush in to see Victor, saying that Adam’s missing, and that she needs to find him.
Chelsea will relay that Adam’s memories are returning, and after resisting for a while, Victor will say that Adam’s in Kansas and Sharon’s on her way to find him, Chelsea will be upset, and she’ll ask Victor to call the pilot and tell him to turn the plane around now. V
ictor will stress to Chelsea that Adam needs professional help, but Chelsea will say that Adam needs her.
In Kansas, Adam will look around the farmhouse for clues about what happened back when he killed AJ Montalvo as an 11-year-old boy. Adam will find an old tablecloth in a drawer, and that will stir some memories.
Adam will remember sitting underneath the table in the kitchen while AJ threatened his mom, then he’ll put the tablecloth on the table and get under the table, just like when he was a boy.
Adam will then remember getting out from under the table as a boy and rushing AJ, causing AJ to fall and hit his head on something. Adam will remember standing over AJ’s lifeless body as a boy, and he’ll be in the kitchen crying and upset when Sharon walks in and calls out to him.
Adam will turn to Sharon, asking, “What have I done?”
