The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 18, tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will meet with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at Society, telling them about how Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had the schematics for Newman Tower on his laptop.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will walk in, and Victoria and Nick will ask why Victor didn’t inform them about this development sooner.
Victoria will be particularly upset that she didn’t know about this as CEO of Newman Enterprises, and she’ll tell Victor that he needs to let go of Adam before the family lets go of him.
Victor won’t appreciate that remark, and Rey will say that as a routine matter, he needs to know everyone’s whereabouts the night of Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) shooting.
After Rey walks off, Victor will wish Victoria and Nick luck in trying to cut him out of the family, then he’ll walk off in a huff. Victoria will insist to Nick that Victor’s obsession with Adam had to end, and that they need to think about cutting ties with Victor altogether.
At the Chancellor mansion, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will take a call from Adam who will ask her to come over to his penthouse for dinner and to talk.
Chelsea will be very hesitant, but she’ll say that she’ll think about it. Once Chelsea hangs up, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will enter the room and quickly deduce that Chelsea is on her way to see Adam.
Chelsea and Chloe will bicker, and Chloe will try to get Chelsea to see that she should never take Adam back. Chloe will bring up Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and his propensity to be hurt, which will irk Chelsea, and she’ll leave angry.
After Chelsea goes, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will comfort Chloe and tell her that she and Chelsea won’t stay upset with each other for long.
At Adam’s penthouse, Victoria will show up to present Adam with an official document that will renounce Adam of all things Newman. Adam will ask if Victor has read the document, and Victoria will dodge the question, then she’ll accuse Adam of dodging the document.
Adam will tear up the document, and Victoria will say that she wishes that the bullet that hit Chance had found its intended target.
Later, Adam will be alone when Chelsea calls from Society to say that she’s not ready to talk with him yet. Adam will be slightly encouraged, since that’s not a “no.” Chelsea will hang up, appearing to still be conflicted about what to do.
At the Grand Phoenix, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will agree to take a look at Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) contract with Victoria. Amanda will then listen as Phyllis laments about her argument with Nick over Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) drinking.
Amanda will encourage Phyllis to make the first move, then Amanda will get a call from Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) about their dinner later, and Phyllis will find that interesting.
At the hospital, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will have a surprise for Chance – a video call with both his grandmother Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and his mom Nina Webster (Tricia Cast).
Chance will be thrilled as he catches up with Jill and Nina, and he’ll spill the beans about his engagement to Abby. Jill and Nina will be thrilled.
Later, Chance and Abby will talk wedding plans, with Abby suggesting they get married in elegant simplicity at the Chancellor mansion. Chance will then get transferred out of the ICU and into a regular room, and he’ll happily suggest a wedding date to Abby – that they get married next week.
Abby will be surprised but happy.
At Crimson Lights, Victor will come to meet Victoria, who will show him the torn-up contract from her meeting with Adam. Victor will be astounded that Victoria had the contract drawn up behind his back, and he’ll say that Adam’s reaction means nothing.
Victor will insist that Adam is in dire emotional straits right now, and that he’s crying out for help.
At Devon’s penthouse, Devon will fix margaritas for himself and Amanda, and he’ll say that he got them reservations at the new French restaurant in town.
Things will be going ok, but it will all feel a bit too stilted for both Amanda and Devon, so they’ll decide to just ditch their plans and order Chinese food. Amanda will then ask for the “story of Devon.”
Devon will recount how he grew up in foster care, and about how his life changed when he met Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell), and Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John).
Then Devon will move into how he came to learn that Tucker McCall (Stephen Nichols) and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) were his father and grandmother, respectively. Amanda will thank Devon for sharing that piece of himself with her.
Finally, back at the Grand Phoenix, Nick will wait in Phyllis’ suite for her return. Phyllis will be surprised to find Nick there, and Nick will immediately apologize for saying things he didn’t mean.
Phyllis will also apologize for not telling him right away about Faith’s drinking and for getting defensive. Nick will give Phyllis a rose, and they’ll appear to be back on track.
