The Young and the Restless Spoilers Recap: Wednesday, October 7 – Chelsea’s 911 Emergency – Adam Spies on Billy – Chance Loves Abby

The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 7, tease that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will show up at Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) penthouse for a chat.

Chance will reveal that Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) asked if he was the federal agent referenced in the Chancellor Communications exposé, and that he affirmed that he was.

Chance will lament that now his job with the GCPD is up in the air. Chance will get a text from Paul wanting to meet asap, and Chance will take off.

Adam will then call someone saying that he’s ready and that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is in the office now. “Get into position and let me know when you get there, and I’ll give you the signal,” Adam will say.

At Chancellor Communications, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will arrive to talk with Billy, and they’ll argue fiercely over the exposé. Chelsea will lash out over the damage that the exposé could do to Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), but Billy will maintain that it’s all Adam’s doing.

After a considerable amount of heated back and forth, Chelsea will take off and head to the elevator.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will enter the office to find Billy sitting there, and suddenly the building will go dark. Billy will immediately suspect foul play, and he’ll whip out a flashlight and start looking for listening devices, getting Lily in on the search.

As they’re searching, Lily will express newfound enthusiasm for a part two to the exposé, and Billy will assume that Adam had the lights turned off to send someone into the building to steal the evidence for part two.

Meanwhile, over at the Grand Phoenix, Adam will break into Billy’s suite and snoop around, looking for Billy’s intel for part two of the exposé.

Back at Chancellor Communications, Lily and Billy won’t find any bugs, and Billy will tell Lily that the information for part two is in a safe place. Lily will disclose that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) basically threatened her the other day, which will be news to Billy.

Later, Billy and Lily will gaze out at the Genoa City skyline, while Chelsea is stuck in the elevator. Chelsea will try to climb up to the top of the elevator to get out, but she’ll fall, landing on the floor below unconscious.

The lights will eventually come back on, and Billy will leave for the evening, and when the elevator door opens, he’ll find Chelsea lying on the floor. Billy will frantically call 911.

At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will fuss over Sharon, who will be back home after her surgery. Sharon and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will have a little alone time, but Faith won’t really want to open up or talk about how she’s feeling.

Faith and Sharon will decide that Faith should go hang out with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) at Crimson Lights for the evening.

At Society, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Mariah will talk at the bar about Sharon’s operation and about how Faith is coping with the exposé. Mariah will talk with Sharon via phone about spending the evening with Faith, and Mariah will say that she’ll try to get Faith to open up.

Abby will fill Mariah in about Chance’s job offer that could fall through because of the exposé as well.

Later, Chance will arrive to see Abby, and he’ll say that he didn’t get a chance to meet with Paul because of a last-minute police emergency. Chance will tell Abby that he’s going to tell his side of the story to Paul as best he can, but that it will ultimately be Paul’s decision about whether he’ll get the job.

Abby will suggest that Chance denounce Adam and cut all ties, but Chance won’t do it, saying that Adam saved his life.

Abby will wonder if Chance could go back to his security business, but Chance will say that he sold his firm and that he has a noncompete clause which means he can’t do security work in Genoa City.

Chance will say that he won’t leave Genoa City, though, because Abby is here. Chance will then tell Abby that he’s falling in love with her, and that she’s the perfect woman for him. Abby will say that she’s melting and that they should go have a long talk about their future.

Back at Sharon’s house, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will check in on Sharon. Faith’s well-being will come up, and they’ll discuss the possibility of getting Faith a therapist to talk to.

Sharon will learn that Nick knew about Billy’s exposé before the fact, and Nick will lament that he should have kept Billy from publishing it.

Sharon will continue to be worried about Faith, although Nick will think that she’ll glide through this rough patch like she always does. Sharon will caution Nick that they shouldn’t assume that Faith will grow out of this, and after Nick leaves, Sharon will gaze at a photo of Faith sitting nearby.

Finally, Faith and Mariah will talk at Crimson Lights during their evening together. Mariah will encourage Faith to reach out for help when she needs it, and Faith will admit that she didn’t really oversleep before Sharon’s surgery – she was only pretending to be asleep.

Faith will think that there’s something wrong with her, but Mariah will assure her that there’s not. Later, Rey will come along and offer his support to Mariah after telling her that he’s moving back in with Sharon.
