The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for Thursday, November 19, reveals that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) are ready to put their heads together and figure out who shot Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz).
There’s been a break in the case since a blue earbud was found at the crime scene.
That earbud didn’t look weathered, so it hasn’t been at the location long. That means the shooter may have dropped it. The earbud’s going through DNA testing and could be helpful to the case.
This is personal as far as Paul is concerned since Chance just joined the GCPD and is Nina Webster’s (Tricia Cast) son. Paul has known Chance for a long time and needs this case to be airtight.
Meanwhile, Chance is home from the hospital and continues wedding planning with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) as he recuperates.
Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) gets on another video chat and learns they want to have the nuptials at the Chancellor mansion – though they wouldn’t dream of doing it without Jill’s blessing. “Are you kidding me?! I’m delighted!” Jill insists.
It’s settled that Abby and Chance will wed at the Chancellor mansion next week. Jill’s taken aback to find out the ceremony is happening so soon. Later, Abby meets with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) while Chance is sleeping.
Ashley is also surprised by the speedy nuptials, but Abby explains that life’s too short to postpone things that really matter.
It’s a lot to pull together in a short amount of time, but Ashley’s willing to help. After Abby returns to Chance with takeout, she sees that Chance has ordered up a bunch of room service.
With all this food, Abby feels it’s a pity she’s not eating for two. Chance and Abby remain excited about their plans to start a family.
At Society, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) debate Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) decision to drew up the contract for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to sign.
Victor rants about Victoria’s ultimatum and argues that the family is partially to blame for Adam becoming so dangerous and unpredictable.
Nikki wants Adam out of all their lives and notes that he tried to kill Victor on more than one occasion. Victor points out that Nikki and Victoria forced him to come clean about Kansas.
They’re the ones who made him reawaken something in Adam – and now Adam needs help. “And I’m gonna see to it that he damn well gets that help,” Victor promises.
At Adam’s penthouse, he glad Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) came over and is willing to listen. Adam assures Chelsea of how much he loves and needs her. He truly wants to put their family back together, but Chelsea doesn’t know if that’s enough.
Next, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is inquisitive when Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) shows up at Crimson Lights with some things for Lily to sign. Instead of talking business, Lily wants to hear about Amanda’s evening with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Amanda turns it around on Lily and pumps her for info on her own love life developments.
Lily argues that she’s not looking for any big, complicated commitment right now. She reflects on Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) breaking her heart and notes that she’s unsure of exactly where things stand with Billy Abbot (Jason Thompson).
However, Lily does know what she’s looking for in a relationship – something simple and without drama.
Amanda notes that her own evening with Devon was simple as well. She fills Lily in on how they ordered takeout at Devon’s place and just enjoyed each other’s company as friends. Lily grins and gushes over it sounding perfect.
Paul goes with Rey to grill Billy at Chancellor Communications, where Rey wants to know why Billy paid Chance a visit. Rey’s skeptical that it’s merely because Chance is family. Billy argues that he really was concerned about Abby and Chance, but he also went looking for the truth for his Adam sequel story.
On Thursday’s Young and the Restless episode, Paul wonders if Billy was the shooter. Billy denies it and warns that they’ll need a warrant to search the place. That’s when Paul pulls one out, allowing him to dig around with Rey’s help.
Billy points out that there’s a lengthy suspect list when it comes to people who’d want to go after Adam. He advises the cops to look at Victor, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Chelsea… They’re looking at everyone according to Paul.
Rey brings out Billy’s laptop and suggests everything will be returned to Billy once they’ve gone over it. There’s also a blue earbud that’s missing its match. Rey has it bagged up as evidence, but Billy explains that he loses them all the time.
That’s why he buys blue ones – they’re easy to spot. “Yeah, they sure are,” Rey notes.
Back with Adam, he lets Chelsea know how sorry he is. When Chelsea quizzes Adam about whether he planned to kill his family, Adam contends that Victor was his only target. Adam was pushed over the edge, but Chelsea finds it tough to believe Adam’s anger and need for revenge have vanished.
Adam is afraid of not being able to handle things alone, so Chelsea finds that a bit manipulative. Adam argues that’s not his intention, but he can’t lie to Chelsea. He needs Chelsea’s help, though he knows he has no right to ask after what he put her through.
Chelsea acknowledges that Adam is the father of her child and the man she grieved, but she’ll always have to worry about another breakdown if she reunites with Adam. That’s something that could affect Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), too.
Adam argues that if Chelsea will take him back, then he’ll go anywhere with her to start over. “So pick a direction, name a place. We can leave first thing in the morning. All I need is your forgiveness,” Adam says.
Once Lily and Amanda return to Chancellor Communications, they get updates on Billy’s need for a lawyer. Billy mentioned it before and now it’s time to follow through. He rants about the police seeming determined to pin the shooting on him.
There’s some debate over whether Amanda should be the one to represent Billy, but he wants an attorney he can trust. Billy suspects that Lily thinks he did it, but he makes it clear that he didn’t try to shoot Adam. After Lily promises she believes Billy, he notes that he needs the cops to believe him, too.
Amanda points out that Billy should pay his retainer from his personal funds and not from the company account. Lily feels like Billy should also step down from the company for the time being, so that news doesn’t thrill him.
Once Amanda leaves, Billy ultimately sides with Lily on stepping down – though he’ll miss the job and wondering when Lily’s going to kiss him again.
Victor tracks Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) down at Crimson Lights, where he pushes her to help Adam. Sharon doesn’t know what this is about, but she pushes Victor to ask someone else. “No, Sharon, he needs your help,” Victor insists. “There’s no one else he can talk to.”
After Sharon calls Adam, Chelsea flips out at the penthouse. “You’re Sharon’s one true love, right? So you should answer her phone call,” Chelsea quips. Adam has no idea why Sharon is calling and argues it doesn’t matter.
Chelsea needs time to mull everything over, but Adam wants her to believe that she’s the woman he loves and will love forever.
Once Chelsea’s back at the Chancellor mansion on Thursday’s Y&R episode, she texts Connor and knows he’s been asking about when his parents can come visit. “We’re working on it,” Chelsea promises in her message.
Rey meets up with Sharon at the coffeehouse, where she admits to getting a request from Victor. After giving that request some thought, Sharon said yes.
Next, Victor makes his way to Adam’s place. He asks what’s happened to Adam and urges him to look at the point he’s arrived at now.
Victor declares that Adam needs help and doesn’t want his son to make this harder than it already is. Adam has tears in his eyes as he stares at his father. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam has some unpleasant surprises in his future, so stay tuned to Y&R.
