The Young and the Restless Spoilers Review: Tuesday, October 13 – Amanda’s Private Investigator News – Abby Quintuplet Nightmare

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for Tuesday, October 13, teases that some surprises are set to play out. In Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) suite, she has a nightmare about dealing with crying triplet babies while Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is stuck on a stakeout.

After Abby realizes Chance has disconnected on the phone, she looks down to find quintuplets and wakes up in a panic.

At Crimson Lights on Tuesday’s Young and the Restless episode, Chance meets with Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) to discuss unfinished business. Paul really appreciates Chance admitting he was the unnamed federal agent in the story on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Chance wanted to be upfront, but he wonders where things stand on his offer at the GCPD.

Paul admits the authorities in Nevada are investigating the veracity of the claims that Adam killed a man to protect a federal agent – though there’s no body and no evidence that Chance was involved in a cover-up.

Chance promises that if he’s hired, Paul won’t regret it. Even so, Paul has to wait until the inquiry is over. After that, Paul would indeed like to give Chance a shot depending on the outcome.

At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) place, she assures Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) that whatever he wants to do as far as the engagement ring goes is fine. Rey has to run, but all he wants to do is kiss Sharon when she looks at him like that.

Sharon argues there’ll be plenty of time for kisses later. “The rest of our lives,” Rey insists. Once Sharon’s alone, she looks a bit pensive.

Later, Sharon tells Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) that she has wonderful news. “The cancer’s gone?” a hopeful Faith asks.

Sharon’s face falls since she still doesn’t have her results back. She didn’t mean to get Faith’s hopes up, but she does have some positive updates to share.

Once Mariah and Faith hear about the engagement, they’re surprised on Tuesday’s Y&R episode. Mariah starts crying and is glad to hear Sharon’s happy.

However, Mariah’s perplexed about Rey not having a ring ready. She figured Rey would be the kind of guy who had his multi-step proposal all planned out, but Sharon suggests it was a spontaneous thing.

After Sharon leaves, Faith confides her fears that this engagement happened because of the cancer. Mariah argues that Sharon’s “blissed out” and doesn’t think their mom’s covering up any bad news.

She gives Faith a pep talk and wonders what else she can do to help, but Faith argues that she just had a moment of panic. As Faith heads off to the stables, she seems to be hiding her pain as she says “it’s all good.”

Mariah reconvenes with Sharon later and gets confirmation that the results truly aren’t in yet. Sharon wants to be sure Faith’s OK with this marriage, so Mariah promises they both just want happiness for their mom.

Rey shows up at the coffeehouse, where Paul formally introduces Rey to Chance. Paul suggests Rey can give Chance the “lay of the land,” but reminds Chance the job isn’t a done deal yet.

Once Paul’s gone, Rey talks to Chance about “radioactive” Adam and promises he won’t let Chance’s connection to him color his view. Paul gave Rey a second chance when he needed one, so Rey doesn’t want to judge.

Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) is looking pretty pensive herself when Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) appears at the clinic. Amanda’s looking for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and eventually wonders if Elena knows what’s up with him lately. Nate’s pulling away, so Amanda’s confused about his behavior.

Elena rattles off excuses, including the stress of Jared’s (Michael Maclane) overdose. Amanda still feels like this is personal and can see in Nate’s eyes that there’s something weighing on him.

Elena insists Nate has always spoken highly of Amanda and pretends she’s in the dark on why Nate’s actually brushing her off.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he thanks Nate for coming over and admits something’s going on with Elena. Devon can’t help but wonder if Nate knows what it is. Since Devon can see a change in Elena, he feels like Nate may know what’s going on.

Nate argues that he wouldn’t break Elena’s confidence even if he knew, but he does allude to Amanda being the source of Elena’s issues.

Nate contends that if he were in Elena’s shoes, he’d be most afraid of Devon being more drawn to Amanda because of his connection to Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan).

Devon admits he looks at Amanda with different eyes now, hut he knows she’s not Hilary. Nate thinks if there’s any part of Devon that wants to see where this newfound friendship might lead, he needs to set Elena free before she gets her heart shattered.

Nate wants Devon to be honest with himself, but Devon wonders if Nate’s heard a word he’s said.

Devon insists Nate is “dead wrong” about Amanda and adds that he loves Elena. Talk turns to Nate’s relationship with Amanda, which Nate admits they’re still figuring out. Devon feels like he’s living proof that love is possible after loss and tries to offer Nate hope.

Amanda heads to Chancellor Communications, where Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) wonders if Amanda’s been avoiding her because she’s the reason Amanda and her sister never got to meet.

“Well, you certainly cut straight to the chase,” Amanda points out. Lily notes that there are some things she’d love to say if Amanda’s open to a conversation.

After Lily gives a speech about the accident and how she works every day to atone for her actions, Amanda isn’t sure what to say. She’s still in shock over the twin bombshell, so Lily would understand if Amanda didn’t want to continue their professional relationship.

Amanda admits that to be honest, she hasn’t decided on that yet.

Even so, Amanda can’t put all the blame on Lily since she was separated from Hilary decades earlier. Although Amanda has to go, she notes that Lily did her time and obviously has deep remorse.

Amanda likes Lily and enjoys working at Chance Comm, so she wants to take things a step at a time.

At Society, Abby wonders what Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) would say if she was thinking about maybe starting a family. A grinning Ashley’s mouth drops open in shock.

Abby explains about exchanging love declarations with Chance and getting a bit freaked out over their family discussion at first.

Ashley laughs over Abby’s dream about all the baby chaos, but Abby admits it was “oddly reassuring” since nothing would ever be that out of control in real life. Ash doesn’t think her opinion should be the deciding one, but she feels Abby needs to trust her instincts.

Later, Abby gets updates on the inquiry and is hopeful about Chance’s future with the GCPD. She knows just how to celebrate and has something very special in mind.

After sleeping together, Abby tells Chance that she’s so happy and feels like everything in her life’s coming together. Chance is thrilled when Abby admits she wants what Chance wants – to have a family with him.

At the clinic, Elena and Nate fill each other in on their respective conversations with Amanda and Devon. Nate gets why Elena’s tempted to come clean and has been tempted himself.

However, Nate points out that Elena argued it was a mistake immediately after they slept together. He doesn’t think they should hurt Devon just to unburden themselves, though it’s up to Elena.

Elena admits she can’t bear to send Devon back to that dark place, but she’s struggling to work with Nate and then go home to Devon as usual.

Nate’s willing to leave the clinic and focus on his work at the hospital, but Elena doesn’t want that – and it’d look suspicious anyway. Elena ultimately decides she just needs to figure out a way to cope.

At Society, an overwhelmed Amanda pauses outside before Devon appears. Amanda mentions her intense conversation with Lily and adds that she’s going to get a private investigator to look into the whole story behind her birth.

Amanda will feel incomplete until she knows all the facts, so Devon understands and supports her search for answers.

Back at the coffeehouse, Rey gets off the phone with Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) and Sharon gets off the phone with Noah Newman (Robert Adamson). Sharon and Rey’s engagement has been given the seal of approval, so Sharon suggests she wants to get Rey home.

She’s acting weird despite her attempts to be flirtatious, but Rey doesn’t seem to notice.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey and Sharon’s engagement is bound to spell trouble, so stay tuned to Y&R. CDL’s where you want to be for sizzling Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so don’t forget to check back often.
