The Young and the Restless Spoilers Review: Wednesday, November 18 – Victoria Threatens Victor – Amanda & Devon’s Close Night

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for Wednesday, November 18, reveals that Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) news makes waves within the Newman clan.

At Society, Rey updates Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) having the Newman Tower schematics. Nick and Victoria call Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) out for not telling them considering Adam’s history.

Victor didn’t want Victoria and Nick overreacting about this. He doesn’t think it matters why Adam had the blueprints anymore and adds that there’s nothing to worry about. When Rey steps away, Victor continues to get an earful from Adam’s siblings.

Nick argues that just because there’s no sign of an attack now doesn’t mean there wasn’t one before. As the CEO, Victoria feels like she’s responsible for what goes on in that building.

Nick thinks Adam was planning something terrible and wonders how many times it’ll take before Victor opens his eyes. Victoria contends that if Victor can’t let go of Adam, maybe the family should just let go of Victor.

Rey returns to find out where the Newmans were when Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) dove in front of the bullet meant for Adam. They explain that they were all at a Newman meeting – except for when Nick left briefly to see Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) at the coffeehouse.

Nick promises he was back before the shooting occurred.

“Unless you are willing to accuse us all of hiring a hitman, this is the last I want to hear of this,” Victor gripes. Rey intends to check the security footage to verify their alibis. “You do that,” Victor snaps.

Once Rey’s gone, Victor revisits the topic of his children trying to push him out of the picture. “You want to cut me out of my own family? Is that it? Good luck to you,” Victor declares.

Victoria argues that she wasn’t intending for Victor to take his words literally, but Victor thinks this is about holding on to power. He warns Nick that Victoria’s making an egregious mistake, so Nick had better think twice before he blindly follows her.

After Victor exits, Victoria reiterates that they should seriously consider cutting ties with Victor if he can’t acknowledge that coddling Adam is dangerous.

At the penthouse, Adam calls Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and hopes she’ll agree to his dinner invitation. Adam begs for one more chance – at least for Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) sake.

Chelsea agrees to mull it over, so Adam says he’ll be there waiting. He sets the table as he hopes for Chelsea’s arrival.

As for Chelsea, she has a flashback of Adam’s romantic marriage proposal – and then flashes to dumping him. Chelsea struggles to figure out whether she should head over to Adam’s place.

She eventually tells Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) that she’s leaving to run some errands, but Chloe knows better and feels confident her bestie is going to see Adam.

Chelsea and Chloe get into an argument about Adam, which comes with a warning. Chloe worries about what’ll happen to Connor if Chelsea goes down this road with Adam again. However, Chloe ultimately feels like she went too far by bringing Connor into this.

Chelsea winds up stomping off, so Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) appears and wonders what happened. Chloe notes that it was about Adam as usual. She’s discouraged, but Kevin feels like Chelsea needs a reality check and urges Chloe not to give up on her.

When Adam answers the door of his penthouse, he’s taken aback to see Victoria standing there instead of Chelsea. Victoria explains that she’s got all the paperwork that’ll renounce Adam’s claim to everything related to Newman.

This is just a formality as far as Victoria’s concerned – at least if Adam truly intends to walk away.

Once Adam realizes Victor hasn’t read the contract and insists he won’t sign. That doesn’t shock Victoria, who knows Adam was planning something against the family when they showed up for the meeting at Newman Tower.

Adam tears up the contract in front of Victoria, who wishes the bullet Chance took had hit its intended target instead.

Next on Wednesday’s Young and the Restless episode, Victoria meets back up with Victor on the Crimson Lights patio. She fills Victor in on Adam tearing up the contract, which means nothing to Victor. From Victor’s perspective, Adam is desperate and crying out for help.

Back with Adam, he takes Chelsea’s call and hopes she’s on her way. Chelsea admits she needs more time, so Adam’s forced to keep waiting on her to come around. He can at least appreciate that the answer isn’t a flat-out “no.”

At the hospital, Chance gets a surprise courtesy of Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) are on a video chat, so Chance tells them he’s marrying Abby and to wait until the wedding to come into town.

Nina and Jill gladly offer their blessing, so Chance and Abby are ecstatic. They eventually talk wedding plans again and confirm the elegant simplicity theme along with the location. Chance loves Abby’s idea about getting married at the Chancellor mansion.

After Chance and Abby discuss his move from the ICU to a regular room overnight and then his release tomorrow, Chance makes a shocking wedding date suggestion. Abby’s surprised that Chance wants to marry next week, but she agrees and laughs with him about it.

At The Grand Phoenix, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is there to help Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) with two emergencies. The first one involves unofficially looking over Phyllis’ contract to see if Victoria really has grounds to fire her.

The second crisis is a relationship-related one, but Amanda isn’t worried about the latest “Phick” blowup. She feels like Phyllis and Nick will work it out.

Phyllis is frustrated because Nick doesn’t seem to give her credit for the person she’s grown into. Amanda gives solid advice about not pushing Nick away. She adds that Phyllis has to prove to Nick that he’s wrong about her, not just tell him.

After Amanda gets a call from Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and confirms they’re still on for dinner, she agrees to come by his place for drinks first. “Um, drinks at his penthouse before dinner sounds like a lot more than friends.

Just saying,” Phyllis points out. After Amanda exits, Phyllis contemplates texting Nick – and he does the same at the coffeehouse.

Amanda makes it over to Devon’s penthouse, where they nix the idea of going to a fancy restaurant and opt to order in for a more relaxed evening. It eventually leads to Amanda asking for Devon’s story – how he became the man he is today.

“Are you sure? Because this feels like a first date type of thing to do?” Devon asks. “Yeah, it does,” Amanda admits. “I don’t care. I wanna know the person that I’m spending time with.”

On Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Devon talks about his time in the foster care system and how he never trusted anyone. That changed after the Winters family took a chance on him. Devon’s life kept improving – and he learned that no matter how bad things might seem, there’s always hope for the future.

When Phyllis returns to her hotel suite, Nick’s waiting for her. He’s apologetic for being so hard on Phyllis, but she admits she messed up by not telling Nick about Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) drinking right away.

Phyllis wonders how she can make it up to Nick, who hands her a rose and says he was just about to ask her the same thing.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis and Nick have more drama ahead of them, but they’ll keep making it work as long as they can! Y&R fans won’t want to miss the curveballs coming up for “Phick.”
