The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is certainly motivated in his quest to find out how Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) ended up getting shot.
As Y&R viewers know, someone was gunning for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and shot Chance by accident, and Rey and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) won’t rest until they find out who it was.
Well, we expect that Rey will end up exploring every lead, and that’s already lead him to question Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). And soon, Rey will be looking strongly in the direction of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as a potential suspect.
After all, it’s no secret that Billy detests Adam and has had various grudges against him for years on end, especially since Adam killed Billy’s daughter Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono).
But as the investigation continues, and Rey has to explore all leads, how long will it be before he realizes that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) could be a potential suspect?
It might seem far-fetched, but Faith had blown up at Adam very publicly just hours before the shooting, and she had been experiencing bullying and a lot of angst over the exposé that was published about Adam.
Of course, right now, it would seem that Faith has a pretty solid alibi as to what she was doing at the time that someone tried to kill Adam. As far as everyone knows, Faith was at her friend Jordan’s (Madison Thompson) house watching movies in the basement.
This seemed to be confirmed by one of Jordan’s parents who texted Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) saying that the girls were safely ensconced in the basement.
But it would seem that Jordan’s parent might not be aware of what the teens were actually doing. It has now come out that Faith and Jordan were drinking in the basement, and they drank enough to make Faith super hungover the next day.
We don’t know what the teens did while they were intoxicated, or if they even stayed in the basement like they were supposed to.
Well, if Rey’s s good detective, he’ll probably start to wonder about Faith and her friend Jordan in pretty short order.
According to Y&R spoilers, Faith’s drinking adventures will come to light during the week of November 16-20, and it shouldn’t be long before Sharon and Rey find out about it. How long will it take Rey to realize that Faith could be a suspect in Adam’s shooting?
Of course, Rey won’t want to think that Faith could do something as horrible as shoot someone, but as a detective, he’ll have to exhaust every lead.
Rey may realize that he’s got to formally question Faith about what she did that evening – and depending on how intoxicated Faith was, she may not remember her actions – or Jordan’s actions – very clearly.
One thing’s for sure – if Rey does have to interrogate Faith, he’s going to encounter some strong pushback from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon. Sharon probably won’t be happy with Rey at all, as she won’t want her daughter to be further traumatized.
But Rey won’t have a choice, since he’ll have to at least work to eliminate Faith as a suspect.
We doubt that this will placate Sharon, though, who surely won’t want her daughter to be treated like a suspect in such a horrible crime. This could be the beginning of some real problems for Sharon and Rey as Sharon lashes out and Rey insists that he’s just doing his job.
We’ll see what happens here, but we have a feeling that it might come to light that Faith and Jordan weren’t really in that basement for the entire night, and if so, that will put Rey in a really tricky position with Sharon and the Newmans!
