The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will battle suspicions. He’ll feel like Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) hiding something, but she’ll stay quiet about what she’s facing. Y&R fans can expect a startling discovery that leads to some disturbing updates. All signs point to Sharon’s major medical crisis, and buzz suggests it’ll be centered around a cancer diagnosis.
Sharon should be rattled if this indeed turns out to be cancer. She’ll be feeling scared and overwhelmed, so she’ll leave Rey out of the loop while she lets this sink in. Rey may find himself on edge, especially since he’s been burned by secrets before. His mind may jump to a completely different scenario once Sharon drifts in another direction.
Sharon will end up seeking comfort from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) – perhaps for more than one reason. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon and Nick will do some reminiscing during the week of January 6-10. They may reflect on Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) birthday and how they lost her far too soon. Nick may not know he could lose Sharon far too soon as well – at least if this cancer fight isn’t won.
Whether Nick learns about Sharon’s medical woes or not, he’ll undoubtedly serve as a security blanket throughout all this. Nick’s always been Sharon’s rock in many ways. He’s certainly hurt her in the past, but they’ve been through a lot together and he tends to make Sharon feel safe. Rey could feel like he’s on the outside looking in if this keeps up – and it probably will.
Sharon may find it easier to use Nick as a source of support. He’s familiar and comforting – and not currently in a relationship with Sharon. She may not quite know how to tell Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) or anyone else for that matter. Even Nick may remain in the dark, but this growing connection could lead to Rey’s concerns.
Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) cheated with Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) more than once. Rey and Sharon also broke up because she was drawn to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). It’s Rey’s natural tendency to be jealous and suspect an affair. That could easily be what he thinks is going on once Sharon’s so secretive and starts spending more time with Nick.
However, Rey’s great at investigating and could ultimately discover the truth. Will “Shick” cheating suspicions lead Rey to the far worse truth?
