The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is plotting to steal Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) job – and she intends to use Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to do it. However, it’s a different Abbott that could make waves in Sally’s personal life.
Y&R fans know Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been longing for love, especially since all this emerald talk came about. There’s a legend surrounding that emerald – and Jack hopes it’ll bring love to the family members Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) left behind.
Summer has urged Jack to put himself back out there since he’s quite the eligible bachelor in Genoa City. She’s confident Jack will make someone a lucky woman, but could that someone be Sally?
From the moment Sally made her Y&R debut, fans have wondered if a Jack and Sally pairing might happen.
After all, Jack has been with younger women before and desperately needs a love interest right now. There aren’t a lot of options for him on canvas – and there aren’t for Sally either if Summer and Kyle stick together.
Sally is a lot like a new version of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) in a way, so it’s easy to see why Jack might become attracted to her.
Of course, that doesn’t seem to have happened yet, but it might soon. There already seems to be a little spark on Sally’s end – at least based on Sally’s phone call to her sister, Coco Spectra (Courtney Grosbeck), on the December 21 episode.
In a voicemail, Sally talks about how Jack is genuinely nice and strong. She adds that Jack isn’t someone she wants to cross, so she’ll have to watch out for him.
Sally cryptically hints that she means “in more ways than one” and even flashes a slight smile. There are hints that maybe Sally could be interested in Jack as more than a friend, mentor and Kyle’s father.
We should also point out that Jack delivers a generous invitation to the Abbott family Christmas gathering on Monday. Sally initially turns Jack down, but she ends up agreeing to consider it.
Jack seems to genuine hope Sally comes – and it looks like she will based on Young and the Restless spoilers.
Y&R fans will see Jack welcome a special visitor, so that may be where Sally comes in. Perhaps Sally and Jack will have an opportunity to bond over the holidays.
During the week of December 28-January 1, Sally will open up to someone about her difficult past. If that someone is Jack, it could continue building a bond between Jack and Sally.
Bottom line, there are big clues that a Sally and Jack romance might be happening now. If this pans out, it could certainly complicate Sally’s plans for Summer and Kyle! T
here may come a time when Sally has to choose between advancing her career and letting herself fall in love with Jack.
Although Jack may not seem like the ideal match for Sally, it’s worth mentioning that she’s had rotten luck with men on The Bold and the Beautiful. Perhaps a stable, mature guy like Jack could be just what Sally needs! We’ll keep you in the loop as other Y&R news and updates emerge.
