The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we could see a major shakeup in Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) love life when new episodes return. Many Y&R viewers know Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) and Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson) are real-life loves, but not as many know that Grossman and Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) are also a couple.
Of course, CDL has mentioned Case and Grossman’s low-key romance before. Although these Y&R stars don’t flaunt their relationship, they seemingly don’t have anything to hide either.
Grossman and Case have shared close moments at fan events for all to see. They’ve posted photos from the vacations they’ve taken together and other behind-the-scenes lovey-dovey content, too.
The Young and the Restless put out some promos around the holidays that featured Grossman with Case instead of his onscreen love interest, Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson).
Case has also engaged with Twitter users who post about “Shark,” which combines the names Sharon and Mark. They’ve got their own little fandom going in addition to “Shadam,” which already has a big following.
It’s always fun when costars find love off set, but it’s particularly interesting right now. That’s because the cast will face restrictions when they begin filming again. The Young and the Restless is hoping to get back up and running on July 13, but they’ll have to follow safety protocols closely.
The Bold and the Beautiful is already filming with these protocols, which don’t allow touching or kissing. With that in mind, B&B actors are using real-life partners as stand-ins. In other words, an actor can touch and kiss his or her real-life partner and it’s just edited so it appears the characters are doing it.
Since Grossman and Case are actually dating, this provides an interesting opportunity. Sharon and Adam are never really going to be done with each other, so why not let them get back together? Y&R could skip all the stand-in stuff and just let us enjoy a “Shadam” reunion.
Case has been open about her desire for Adam and Sharon to be paired up again – and it’s no wonder since she’s dating Grossman! There’s no doubt that “Shadam” fans would love this, so Y&R might as well go for it. Would you like to see Sharon and Adam become a couple again?
