The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) love life may need a shakeup in the cancer aftermath. Sharon will have a chance at a fresh start, so that might as well include a romantic new beginning. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) has been Sharon’s rock during this breast cancer battle, but that doesn’t mean they’ll stay happy after Sharon’s recovery.
Since Rey’s taken a lot of time off be there for Sharon, he may throw himself back into work once she’s better. It’s easy to imagine Rey getting wrapped up in a perplexing new case. If it’s a case that affects the rest of the canvas, that’d be even better. This could serve as quite a distraction and lead to some lonely nights for Sharon.
Of course, there’d be other ways for Y&R to cause some conflict. Let’s say Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) finally gets updates on Sharon’s ordeal and works to reestablish their bond.
Rey always had major insecurities when it came to Adam, so it would be easy to rev those right back up. Nothing would be going on, but Rey might assume Adam was ready to pounce on his former flame.
It’s tough to imagine Rey and Sharon becoming some lasting love story on The Young and the Restless. “Shey” seems have reached their expiration date already – unlike “Shick,” which never goes out of style!
No one said this new beginning had to be with someone completely new. Perhaps Sharon could reignite her spark with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and just make it a new chapter.
After all, Nick and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are destined to crash and burn again. Everyone probably expects Phyllis to screw it up, but what if it’s Nick? The same Nick who’s been pulled closer to Sharon throughout this cancer fight? If Rey and Sharon ultimately break up, you can bet Nick will be first in line to comfort his ex.
Whether cheating went down or not, this would put Sharon and Phyllis in familiar territory. It would also grant the wish Phyllis made after she found out Sharon’s diagnosis.
Phyllis suggested she looked forward to the day when she’d be at odds with Sharon again. That’s normal in Phyllis and Sharon’s world, so it’s something Sharon’s looking forward to as well.
However, they should be careful what they wish for! What happens if Sharon steals Nick away from Phyllis and starts a war in the process?
