CBS’ The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has had a lot to celebrate lately. As Y&R viewers know, Sharon got a good report back after her second cancer surgery, but that’s not all that’s got a smile on Sharon’s face.
Sharon and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) decided to tie the knot as well, which has got them both on cloud nine. Now wedding plans are underway, and it seems like the wedding is going to happen on the quick side.
After all, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) were just talking about going bridesmaid dress shopping, so it seems like the wedding will happen sooner rather than later.
But we’ve got to wonder about how Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is going to handle all of the wedding talk and planning going forward. As Y&R viewers know, Adam recently overheard Rey and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) talking about the engagement, and he was none too pleased.
In fact, Adam was so upset over the whole thing that he burned a photo of Rey and Sharon from the local newspaper.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that doesn’t bode well for how Adam’s going to handle Sharon and Rey’s pending nuptials from here on out, and we’ve got to wonder about whether Adam’s going to continue to make overtures to Sharon in the days and weeks leading up to her wedding to Rey.
We wouldn’t put it past Adam to continue to make pleas to Sharon about the need for her to call off the wedding and tell Rey to take a hike.
Adam is a mess right now, and he seems to simultaneously want his family with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Eagan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), as well as a relationship with Sharon. Of course, intellectually, Adam knows he can’t have both, but the heart wants what it wants!
It seems like Adam wants to continue his close relationship with Sharon one way or another, and since this is Adam that we’re talking about, we wouldn’t put it past him to do something awful to make that happen.
As Y&R viewers know, Adam’s already put a tail on Rey, and he told his associate to keep track of everything Rey does and where he goes. What’s that all about? Would Adam do something like kidnap Rey and prevent him from showing up at the wedding?
If this was anyone other than Adam, we’d say no, but Adam’s liable to do anything. Y&R spoilers say Adam could even dramatically interrupt the wedding and object when the officiant asks if anyone objects to this union.
Of course, if that happens, then Adam will probably get pummelled by both Rey and Nick, who’s currently slated to be best man at the wedding.
And since we’re talking about horrible possibilities, there’s always the chance that Sharon will be somehow moved by Adam’s big plea when and if he does interrupt the wedding.
Sharon has always been conflicted about Adam, and she pushed Rey to marry her after one of Adam’s big overtures, so it really must have affected her in a big way. Would Adam’s wedding day plea to Sharon cause her to abandon Rey at the altar?
Time will tell, but it really looks like Adam is headed for some manipulative moves as Rey and Sharon’s wedding nears. Do you expect to see Adam interrupt Sharon’s wedding to Rey?
