The Young and the Restless spoilers has some news to pass on about a former Y&R star. Shemar Moore, who portrayed Malcolm Winters on the CBS soap, has revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Shemar recently shared the news with his Instagram followers in a lengthy post during which he reassured his fans and friends that while this had been a difficult time for him, he’s going to be ok.
“I HAVE COVID!!!!” Shemar wrote. “Just found out moments ago…I am gonna stay wrapping presents…Yes…I have been tested and told that I HAVE COVID!!! I thought I had food poisoning…chills and aches all day today…still can smell, taste, no cough, no runny nose.”
Shemar continued: “I have to accept test results…I feel fine now…but I have to be responsible!!!! My Xmas n New Years is clearly not gonna be the best…my last year and a half has not been the best…but I WILL BE OKAY!!!! This is a hard time for ALL OF US…the WORLD!!!”
Shemar concluded on an encouraging note by saying: “But…I BELIEVE in the sun shining through the rain!!! Stay safe and appreciate everything and everybody you have and had!! MUCH LOVE!!!!” Shemar added the hashtag #wearamask to his post.
Shemar’s fans have been responding steadily to his post, and most are sending along their well wishes and words of encouragement and support. One person wrote: “I’m sorry, I am a Covid survivor – Fingers crossed you will get through.”
And someone else commented: “I hope you have a speedy recovery, Shemar. You will beat this.”
In addition to appearing on the Young and the Restless from 1994-2005, Shemar also appeared on Criminal Minds from 2005-2016, and he is currently starring in S.W.A.T. on CBS. Fans might remember that Shemar’s mother passed away back in February of 2020 as well.
