The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may rev up the pressure and cause issues in his relationship. Y&R fans will recall how Summer Newman (Hunter King) balked at getting a place together so soon after their reunion. She was concerned since Kyle wasn’t even divorced yet. Summer suggested she was in no hurry and wanted to do things right this time.
However, Kyle’s relieved to be out of his marriage to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) and back with the woman he’s been longing for. It’s clear that Kyle’s head over heels and ready to move forward with Summer. Although Kyle will try to be patient and go at the speed Summer wants, that could become increasingly difficult.
At some point, Summer might stumble across a shocking discovery. Back when Summer was married to Kyle, she found a necklace tucked away and assumed it was a gift for her. Summer was heartbroken when she later realized it was a secret present for Lola.
Things have obviously changed big time now that Kyle’s admitted he wants Summer! Kyle probably regrets ever getting out of that first “Skyle” marriage. It may not be long until Kyle starts thinking about another wedding. This would be a great opportunity to do a new spin on that idea of Summer discovering hidden jewelry.
Will Summer eventually find her engagement ring and realize Kyle’s going to propose? The Young and the Restless could do some fun things with a story like that. It’s easy to imagine Summer acting nervous every time she thinks Kyle’s about to pop the question.
There could be some comical moments as Summer freaks over Kyle getting on one knee to tie his shoe or whenever he reaches in his coat pocket. Summer might finally blurt out that she found the ring and isn’t ready for this.
Perhaps Summer will ruin Kyle’s marriage proposal plans and leave him wondering if she’ll ever be willing to truly commit again. Kyle might worry that the past is holding them back.
Summer could work through her doubts and fears in time, but this would be a real chance at growth for the couple. Kyle and Summer have to be able to communicate and respect each other.
If Summer’s honest about her marriage concerns and Kyle can prove she’s worth the wait, they can move toward getting on the same page. When Summer’s ready, they’ll likely revisit the idea of another wedding.
