The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a double proposal is coming up! Y&R fans know Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) recently had a sweet conversation about their future.
As Kyle and Summer talked about their new house, they joked about naming all their dogs and kids. It suddenly occurred to Kyle that they skipped the part where they get married, which led to them deciding they were already engaged in their hearts.
Kyle gave Summer a ring made out of cherry stems, but he promised to get down on one knee and do this right when the time came. It turns out the time will come sooner than you might think!
During the week of September 21-25, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will buy Summer a real engagement ring and pop the question in the park.
Kyle’s trying to be a man who keeps his promises, so he’ll indeed do this right and make it a truly grand gesture. However, Kyle won’t be the only one asking for a hand in marriage. Summer will decide to pop the question as well, so this will be a double proposal.
Kyle and Summer will both want to show how committed they are to building a new life together.
This engagement will become official, but there’s one thing that won’t change: Summer and Kyle will still want to keep it a secret. Obviously, there’d be some freak-outs if this engagement went public.
In fact, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) worried that’d be part of “Skyle’s” big announcement recently, which was really about getting a place together.
Phyllis and Nick were relieved to learn there was no ring on Summer’s finger, so she won’t be eager to put one on there now. Instead, Summer will wear her engagement ring on a necklace, which sounds like a terrible plan that won’t help much at all.
An engagement ring looks like an engagement ring! It doesn’t matter whether it’s on your finger, a necklace or the table in front of you. Summer’s not going to get by with this secret engagement of hers for long.
