The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will rely on some sneaky strategies to get what she wants. Y&R fans can expect Summer to make some moves that are right in Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) wheelhouse – and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) love for Summer will be tested as a result.
What exactly does Summer have up her sleeve? Time will tell, but it could involve eliminating a threat to her relationship with Kyle. Lola’s attitude has seemingly made it clear that she’s done with her ex, but that could actually make Kyle more drawn to her.
Although Kyle claims he’s glad Lola’s moving on, it must be hard to get the cold shoulder while Lola grins from ear to ear over Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson).
Kyle keeps insisting that Summer’s the only one in his heart, but Summer may not be so sure she buys that soon enough. As this storyline moves along, Summer may feel like she needs to put some distance between Kyle and Lola.
The Young and the Restless recently pointed out that Theo was down to his last employment option in Genoa City. Theo suggested that if he didn’t get the job at Chancellor Communications, he might end up leaving town.
Could Summer’s upcoming scheme tie in with that idea? Theo ultimately scored the Chance Comm position, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be able to keep it.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and the others on the team know Theo’s a wildcard who’s been problematic in the past. Summer could easily plot against Theo in hopes of making him look like a screwup again.
Meanwhile, Summer might also scheme to make Lola miserable at Society – hoping that Lola will quit and join Theo on a new adventure elsewhere. It’d be easy to arrange it so things got chaotic in Lola’s kitchen. Summer might hope Lola would bail on Society like she bailed on her Miami restaurant dream.
In other words, Summer’s goal could be driving Theo and Lola out of town. Of course, there’s no guarantee that plan would work, but Summer might believe it’d be the best option. She might tell herself that she’d be giving Theo and Lola a fresh start – all while eliminating any temptation for Kyle and Lola.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will resort to some very Phyllis-like behavior in the weeks ahead. Consider what Phyllis has been doing to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway); she’s been sabotaging her enemy to drive the competition away.
If Summer sabotages Theo and Lola’s careers to drive them out of GC together, she’d be doing something similar.
