The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may be poised for another round of conflict. Y&R fans know Kyle thoroughly enjoyed firing Theo after he took the bait and stole Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) previous work at Jabot. However, Kyle faced some regrets later since Kyle was once a close friend and is now family.
Unfortunately, Kyle may be letting that family connection cloud his judgment when it comes to Theo and what he’s capable of. Ever since Theo first debuted, he’s consistently riled Kyle up and inflicted misery. It’s doubtful these cousins will be able to keep the peace for long, so here are four ways for Theo to reignite his feud with Kyle.
1) Theo breaks Lola’s heart
Although Kyle and Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) split up, Kyle certainly still cares about his ex. He’s made it clear that he won’t stand for Theo breaking Lola’s heart, so what happens if that’s exactly what Theo does? You can bet Kyle will lash out if Lola gets hurt, so Theo could start this cousin war up again.
2) Summer becomes a target
Of course, Kyle cares about his current main squeeze most of all. If Theo dares to target Summer Newman (Hunter King) somehow, Kyle will surely blow his top. Whether Theo made trouble in Summer’s career or found some other strategy to shake things up, it’s safe to say Kyle would rip into his cousin.
3) More New York drama
What about Kyle and Theo’s past in New York? It always felt like there was more to be explored in that Young and the Restless storyline. We know about the issues that happened because of underage drunk Zoe Hardisty (Anna Grace Barlow), but is that all that happened in NYC? If Theo has other dirt he can bring to light, maybe he could rile Kyle up using their shared history.
4) Dina’s death conflict
Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) death is coming up – and that’s bound to prove challenging for her family, which includes Theo. He has a special bond with his grandmother despite not knowing Dina before her Alzheimer’s decline. The Abbotts are going to struggle as well, so it’ll be a stressful time for all of them.
Stress can lead to fighting, so this might be another tactic to reignite cousin conflict. If Kyle feels like Theo’s trying to take advantage of Dina’s demise in any way, he won’t stand for it. This could be one more path to a revived battle for Kyle and Theo.
