The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) may continue his rotten streak when it comes to inflicting misery on Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Even when Theo and Kyle were close friends, there was always something competitive driving them.
Now that Kyle and Theo know they’re cousins, it’s only intensified that need to compete with each other.
Of course, we also have to think about Theo’s behavior ever since he hit town. Theo started by trying to stir up ancient New York history and even summoned Zoe Hardisty (Anna Grace Harlow) to town as part of his plot.
Y&R fans will recall that Theo taunted Kyle through his threat to blow up his relationship with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).
After Kyle ended his marriage to Lola and reunited with Summer Newman (Hunter King), Theo hoped to stick it to Kyle by dating Lola. It’s true that Theo legitimately liked Lola as well, but he admitted he enjoyed the idea of making Kyle suffer a little.
With that in mind, The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Theo might take a page out of his old playbook soon enough. Considering Theo’s typical pattern, it’d be a pretty Theo-like thing to do if he pursued Summer again.
Now that Summer has ended her engagement to Kyle, maybe Theo will try to get Summer back into bed with him.
Summer previously used Theo as a coping tactic. She was all about having fun with Theo to get over Kyle – no strings attached.
Since Theo will want to hurt Kyle in the aftermath of this “Skyle” split, he may prey on Summer while she’s vulnerable and offer a chance at their old arrangement.
Would Summer be distraught enough to take advantage of that proposition? It’s possible, especially since Summer and Theo had no problems in the bedroom! They never really found a true emotional connection, but you don’t need one of those if you’re on the rebound and just want to feel something besides pain.
In fact, that was one of Summer’s biggest qualms when she was dating Theo – that he wanted to use sleeping together as the answer for everything. Summer may actually like that idea this time around. By getting under Theo again, Summer might think she can get over Kyle!
Summer could even hope it would sting a little considering how close Kyle and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) still seem. It’d definitely hurt Kyle if he knew Summer was back in bed with the enemy, so it’ll be interesting to see if Y&R heads in that direction.
