The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) may have no choice but to move on. Theo’s been doing his best to smooth things over with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), but he only seems to be making matters worse! It’s clear that Lola and Theo have different ideas about what this romance should look like.
To be honest, the real problem is probably the fact that Lola’s in a new romance at all. Lola just doesn’t seem ready to jump into something new – particularly not something with Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) competitive cousin.
When pressed Theo admitted it brought him a little joy dating Kyle’s ex, so that admission obviously didn’t go over well with Lola.
However, Theo does have a certain pattern he’s following – one that may resurface down the road. Y&R fans know Theo has been with Summer Newman (Hunter King) and now Lola, so he definitely likes going after the same women as Kyle.
We also know Courtney Hope (ex-Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful) is headed to The Young and the Restless, although her character is still TBA.
Whether Hope plays Sally, a recast or someone brand-new, her character may grab Theo’s attention. That’s especially true since Lola is reluctant to give Theo any attention at all!
There’s been speculation that Hope’s character might get involved with Kyle and make trouble in his relationship with Summer. If so, that seems like a guarantee that Theo will start sniffing around, too.
If Theo would go after Summer and Lola, why wouldn’t he go after the next woman in Kyle’s life? There’s no reason to break the cycle now!
If Sally Spectra ends up crossing over from B&B, she would actually make a good match for Theo. Sally was willing to fake a terminal illness just to win back Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), who had reunited with his ex, Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden).
It’d be easy for Sally to bond with a fellow schemer like Theo, particularly since he may feel like Lola’s hung up on Kyle.
Sally’s plan didn’t work, so she could also connect with Theo over his own failed schemes and desire for a fresh start. Of course, Theo might have to fight for what he wants! If Hope’s character lands in Kyle’s orbit, it may spark Theo’s familiar competitive streak.
Perhaps Theo could try to steal the new woman in Kyle’s life and kick off another fierce cousin battle.
