The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that there’s one character who really needs to let loose. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has fallen into a familiar pattern of being angry, uptight and cold. Although we can understand Victoria’s frustration after everything she’s dealt with, Y&R needs to balance things out with a warmer side of Victoria. That’s something we rarely get to see.
Victoria was burned badly by Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who decided feeling “free” was more important that being a normal adult and appreciating his family. Since Victoria believed Billy and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) were having an affair, that made matters worse.
Of course, Amanda’s vicious ex came along later and stabbed Victoria at the Newman Enterprises gala. Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes) mistook Victoria for Amanda in the dark shadows and nearly cost Victoria her life.
Once Victoria finally recovered and was able to reclaim the CEO spot, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) swooped in to take it from her. He blackmailed Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and left Victoria feeling like their father would always put Adam first.
Although Victoria’s back on the throne, she’s lost Victor’s respect. It’s just been one terrible thing after another for Victoria, so it’s no wonder she’s like this. Victoria never has any fun! She just works, raises the kids and deals with family issues. Victoria could stand to find lasting love, but we’d settle for a hot hookup at this point.
It wouldn’t be out of character for Victoria to hit the sheets with someone out of the blue. It happened with Ben Hochman (Ben Hermes) back in 2017 as well as with Brandon Rose (Mitch Eakins) in 2019.
Every now and then, Victoria just lets loose and hops in bed with somebody. The Young and the Restless writers should really let Victoria do it again!
If Victoria were going to hook up with someone on canvas, who should it be? Since this doesn’t have to be some grand and beautiful love story, there are more possibilities. Y&R could just go for the shock value of a one-night stand and the drama it would offer.
What if Victoria landed in bed with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson)? When Theo was with Summer Newman (Hunter King), she complained about him using sleeping together as the answer to everything. If Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) breaks Theo’s heart, he may just want a way to ease the pain.
Theo doesn’t discriminate when it comes to a lady’s age either. At Society, Theo noticed Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) ogling him.
Theo sent them a round of drinks, but pregnant Chloe couldn’t partake. Even so, Chelsea and Chloe had a good laugh about how they’ve “still got it.” Theo might think Victoria’s still got it, too!
Since Theo may score a position at Chancellor Communications, hooking up with Victoria could lead to trouble. You can bet protective Billy wouldn’t approve. Billy doesn’t trust Theo as it is and tends to be territorial about his ex.
Would a Victoria and Theo hookup cost Theo the job? It might if Billy found out and flew into a rage about Theo taking advantage.
