The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will have to decide if they can make it work. Y&R fans know there’s a definite spark between Lola and Theo, but will it grow into a full-blown romance? Lola’s been holding back so far – and that’s most likely because she’s worried about getting hurt.
When Lola married Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he was her dream guy. Lola thought she’d be with Kyle forever, but he eventually admitted he’d never gotten over Summer Newman (Hunter King). The divorce has been rough on Lola, so it’s reasonable for her to keep her guard up.
That’s especially true since this is risky Theo we’re talking about! Theo shows his softer side around Lola, but there’s no denying that his behavior has been problematic at times. In fact, Theo’s behavior could once again cause issues for Theo and Lola. How’s Lola going to feel about Theo taking the bait at Jabot and cheating in his competition with Kyle?
This is the kind of thing that could make Lola pull back even further. That’s especially true if Lola finds out Theo kept secrets about what he was up to with Kendra. Lola needs to know Theo’s going to be honest with her. If Lola’s just going to face lies and manipulation, she may not be able to commit to a future with Theo.
Could this force Theo to make some updates to his strategy? Will Theo need a grand gesture to salvage his romance with Lola? There’s no guarantee Theo’s plan would work, but it’s easy to imagine him trying something. Theo may come up with some big plan to show Lola just how much she means to him.
If Theo can convince Lola’s he can be a trustworthy partner, he might still have a shot at being with her. Of course, there are other factors to consider here. A lot will depend on which characters the show intends to feature once Y&R’s back with new episodes.
There have probably been some changes behind the scenes at The Young and the Restless, so no one knows for sure what the future holds.
With that in mind, Lola could respond well to Theo’s grand gesture. Perhaps Theo could do something incredibly meaningful that would touch Lola’s heart and earn him a real chance. Then again, it might not be enough if that’s how Y&R writers want to take things. It’s still possible Lola will turn her back on Theo entirely.
Either way, it’s safe to say Theo won’t go down without a fight! Theo truly cares for Lola and wants to see where this could lead for them. As other Y&R news becomes available, we’ll keep you posted.
