The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, April 23, tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will cross paths with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Once Theo discovers Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is sick, he may feel a bit bad about pushing Mariah’s buttons over the past few months.
Mariah gave as good as she got, which was entirely fair considering Theo tried to steal her job twice and aggressively hit on her girlfriend, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Some fans have been acting like it’s wrong for Mariah to hurl insults at Theo, but she has every right to insult him until the end of time.
Theo’s been a total dirtbag in many of his interactions with Mariah, so he thoroughly deserved his roasting. However, we’ll see a softer Theo in Thursday’s episode due to the news of Sharon’s illness. Both Theo’s parents are gone now, but he’ll reflect on his own mother getting sick and how hard that was back then.
Afterward, Theo will come clean about getting fired from Jabot. Although Theo may not divulge all the details, he’ll likely admit he was in the wrong and deserved the boot. Mariah will reflect on some of her own regrets like cheating on Tessa, so she’ll understand making a mistake you wish you could take back.
In other words, Theo and Mariah will find some common ground. They’re probably never going to be friends, but tolerating each other is a step in the right direction. Once Mariah takes off, Theo will do some eavesdropping and find out about an amazing opportunity.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will all be having a strategy session nearby. Theo will listen in and realize they don’t have a good grip on targeting younger demographics.
Since that’ll be Billy, Lily and Amanda’s latest dilemma, Theo will develop a pitch that might land him a new job at Chancellor Communications.
Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless spoilers say an unleashed secret will do serious damage to the Newman clan. Whether Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) behind that unleashed secret or perhaps Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), it’s clear that it’ll have major consequences for their family and Newman Enterprises.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) forces Adam off the throne in Wednesday’s Y&R episode, so Thursday may bring Adam’s chance to fight back. He’s in denial about this childhood murder story, which could lead to Adam’s retaliation and some moves he’ll ultimately regret.
Of course, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria will battle regrets soon as well. Y&R fans can expect the truth about AJ Montalvo’s death to make some waves in Genoa City and make it rocky sailing for the Newman family ship, so stay tuned for hot drama.
